Hanboo, could you update Britney's and add one for Mandy Moore (or update them if she already has a page)

Hello Hanboo,
many thanks for your answers.
As I can see you are a big chart-freak with a complete database.
So, maybe you could answer me some historic questions which nobody before could give me answers for:
1.) In old Billboard-magazines from the 1940's there was a ''Best Sellers Singles Chart'' with four regional Top-10 chart-lists too. Do you know maybe, was there ever a song which has been charted only in one of these four regional Single charts but never in the ''Best Selling Retail Singles chart''?.
2.) In the 1940's and 1950's Billboard had four different Single charts ''Best Sellers'', ''Most played by Jockeys'', ''Most played in Juke Boxes'' & ''Top 100'' before the ''Hot 100'' has replaced all of it. Do you know maybe, if you have statistics, was there ever a song which has only charted in one of these four charts but not anywhere else?
3.) As I can see that your location is in Netherlands, do you know maybe where I could find archives of Dutch Dance/Disco Charts from the 70's and 80's?
It would be really great if you could help me!
Bye

Thanks for the chart runs/updates, Hanboo! :D

I have a few points to address. First, in the Gladys Knight & The Pips chart runs...

1. EITHER WAY I LOSE
Date: 07/11/1964 - Run: *124*-0-0-132 (2-1c wks)
I have the chart run for this song looking like this:

1. EITHER WAY I LOSE
Date: 07/11/1964 - Run: 124-0-0-132-0-129-124-*119*

Note that there are three more weeks that the song charted on the end. I double-checked this in the actual charts on Google Books and in Joel Whitburn's Bubbling Under book (1998 Edition). I'm sure that this was a reporting mistake, rather than a mistake in your database! :)

Second...

5. HERO
Date: 03/12/1983 - Run: 106-*104* (2 wks)

6. HERO
Date: 07/01/1984 - Run: *106*-106-106 (3 wks)
I assume these two are the same single. However, Joel Whitburn's Bubbling Under book (1998 Edition) says that this single charted for 7 weeks. Can you double-check this single's chart run?

Next, in the chart runs for Martha & The Vandellas...

2. HEAT WAVE
Written by: Lamont Dozier/Brian Holland/Eddie Holland
Produced by: Brian Holland/Lamont Dozier

Date: 03/08/1963 - Run: 82-51-34-19-14- 6-5-*4*-4-8-9-18-27-46 (14/6 wks)
I have this single bubbling under at position 120 on July 27, 1963. On page 4 of the August 3, 1963 issue of Billboard, there is a one-paragraph blurb titled "Chart Corrections" that states this:

Position 120 in Bubbling [last week] should have been "Heat Wave," with Martha & the Vandellas on Gordy Records. "What I Gotta Do," with Little Eva on Dimension was carried at 120, and also appears again at 129, which is the correct position for this record.

This little paragraph would be very easy to miss, and I have learned that the Bubbling Under charts were full of typos and errors, so I don't blame you for missing this one.

Sorry for the long post, and thanks again for your work! :D

I don't have a complete database of any of these charts, but I can tell you that there were many songs that charted only on the Top 100 chart and not on any of the other three. Of course, these songs would have pretty low positions on the Top 100 chart - not high enough to make the Top 40 or Top 50, which was the maximum number of positions in any of the other three charts.

I can't imagine that a song would make the Best Sellers, Most Played in Juke Boxes, or Most Played by Jockeys charts, all of which were at maximum 50 positions, without also making the Top 100. I can't say for sure that this didn't EVER occur, though.
