Hi Han!

Are you sure about that Re 01?
Doesn't seem likely to leave the chart at #2 and then re-enter at #2.

So, is that 52c weeks in top 10? (97c weeks in chart)

Thanks,
Dane.
Yes the album resided 52 consecutive weeks in the US top 10.
The chart run program was confused because of the '4th of July' date when it should have been 3rd of July (Billboard was dated the 4th because of the bicentennial anniversary of the USA).
It's been fixed!

Okay thanks!
I was wondering how 52c weeks in the top 10 was holding up against other smash hit albums.
Quite well it turns out.
Take Shania Twain's Come On Over for example. 53 weeks in top 10, but only 17 consecutive.
Grease has 29, Bodyguard 32, Saturday Night Fever 35, Hysteria 43, Rumours has 52 as well, Jagged Little Pill 67, Thriller 78 and Born In the USA a whopping 84 consecutive weeks in the top 10.

Then I found one of your lists:

I had not thought about the old Cast/soundtrack albums... your list doesn't show consecutive weeks, but obviously the record must be found among them instead.

Is it possible for you to make a list of the albums with most consecutive top 10 weeks?

Thanks!

I think I found another couple of errors.

In your top 10 album list above the soundtrack to South Pacific has 90 top 10 weeks, but in the chart run you write 86.
83c top 10 weeks looks like a mistake to.

Another discrepancy. Above My Fair Lady (cast) is listed with 173 weeks in the top 10. Your chart run says 154. Again 148 consecutive weeks seems wrong.

For the soundtrack to Oklahoma! you seem to have combined weeks in top 10 for mono and stereo versions (104+12=116), but not for the soundtrack to West Side story.
According to your chart runs, West Side story spent 99 weeks in the mono top 10 and 83 weeks in stereo top 10, but in your list above it has 106 weeks in the top 10?

But I suppose this is because West Side Story charted simultaneously on mono and stereo and Oklahoma! (sometimes) didn't.
