@ abdeeaikawa
Haha yeah :) I just started to like "Gangnam Style"

@ Spartan
Glad you like the Top2 :)

@ Haribo
Glad you still like Taylors song :)

@ Tiger
Yeah, she's dominating the charts everywhere! ;)

@ Mainshow
Haha so i guess you don't like "Gangnam Style"?

Well, "Euphoria" is still her best song for me so it's even possible to see it some more weeks hanging around in the Top20 while "My Heart Is Refusing Me" and "Crying Out Your Name" will leave the charts very soon, especially "Crying Out Your Name" since it's her weakest single so far. I really hope she'll release a new one as soon as possible.

"Scream & Shout" is still a good song, but it got boring pretty fast for me. Maybe it can rise again next week, but i'm not sure.

.

My Year-End Charts 2012 just started. Everyone just take a look please :)

NEW YEAR – NEW RULES!

Well, not really new rules, but there are a few changes on my charts. Nearly the whole 2012 I made some thoughts about my personal charts because I wasn’t sure if I like it the way I did it. I thought about making a bigger charts (Top30 or even Top50 instead of Top20, same for albums) and I wanted to change the point system plus the prerequisites for getting a certification, because it was just too hard to get Gold or even Platinum.

So here we are now, it’s already 2013 and time to change something. The number of spots on both, the singles and the album charts, remains the same like before, so there’s a Singles Top20 and an Album Top10. But the point system will be another. The previous one was #1 10 points, #2 9 points to #10-#20 1 point. So low-peaking singles had no chance of getting more points or a certification. While I keep this point system for the Album Top10, the new system for the Singles Top20 goes like this: #1 20 points, #2 19 points to #19 2 points, #20 1 point. So now it’s easier for low-peaking singles to get some certifications and a better ranking in the Year-End Charts.

Then there is also a change for the certifications. Until now, a song and an album needed 40 points for a Gold certification and 80 points for a Platinum certification. From now on it will be much easier, because Singles will be certified with Gold once they get 50 points and Platinum once they get 100 points. So while a song needed 4 weeks on top to get Gold until now, it just need two and a half week at #1 from now on. For the albums, Gold will be 25 points and Platinum 50 points.

The last change will be a new charts. Beside the Singles Top20 and Album Top10 I also make an Airplay Top10. Means the songs I listened the most during a week. It’s a separate charts and it has nothing to do with the normal single charts.

So this are the few changes for the new year. I hope you’ll like my charts like you did (hopefully) before :P
If it comes out that a change has more negative than positive impacts, I will change it again.
Already a big thanks for every single comment!

week 1/2013 – 3 january 2012

Singles Top20

First week of 2013 and Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble.” sits at #1 for the third straight week. It’s the first song since Lana Del Rey’s “Born To Die” in 2011/2012 with more than two consecutive weeks on top. Meanwhile, “Figure 8” by Ellie Goulding and “Stay” by Rihanna both debut in the Top3. They’re the second single of both singers current albums.

Another debut is coming in at #9. Albanian singer Rita Ora had some hits in the UK in 2012. Finally, she’s also charting for the first time on my personal charts with her single “Radioactive”. Because of the rule change for the certifications, there are also some updates. The most important one is for “Euphoria”. Loreen’s ESC winner single gets a 4x Platinum certification. Ke$ha’s “Die Young” and Lana Del Rey’s “Ride” both gets a 2x Platinum certification.

All the songs that leaves the charts this week also gets an update with their certifications. The most important one to mention should be “Anything Could Happen” by Ellie Goulding, which gets a Platinum certification despite only peaking at #6.

Album Top10

After she ended the year 2012 at #1, Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon” is also the leader of the album charts in the new year. That means “Halcyon” is now for the fifth non-consecutive week at #1.

There are also three new entries on the album charts this week. Birdy and her debut album, also called “Birdy”, comes in at #2. The second one is “Mrs. Greenbird”. The debut album by german X-Factor winner Mrs. Greenbird topped the german album charts this week and also debuts at #5 on my album charts. The third and last new entry comes in at #8 and is the current album by P!nk, called “The Truth About Love”. All these three albums had one Top3 single so far.

Airplay Top10

As you can see, it wasn’t an interesting week on the Airplay Top10. I downloaded some new songs by my favourite artist Kerli and listened to them very often, that’s why nearly the whole Top10 is full of songs by her. On the otherside, there’s Taylor on top, so she’s topping the Singles Top20 AND the Airplay Top10 this week with her latest single “I Knew You Were Trouble.”.

From all the songs by Kerli, two are charting as well on the Singles Top20. The first one is “Zero Gravity”, coming in at #3 here and it re-enters the Singles Top20 at #18 this week. The other one is her current single “The Lucky Ones”, entering the Airplay Top10 at #9.

Glad to see some changes! :D Glad you changed the certifications thresholds! I'm also thinking about extending the Top 20. Some things —including also the presentation— will change on my chart!

Good to see Taylor on top though I'm a bit bored of the song. I gave it success before mostly people. :)

Good to see "Stay" debut. It will debut on my chart next week too. Glad that "Read All About It, Pt. III" is stil in the Top 5. "Ride" is falling quite fast compared to "Video Games". Talking about "Ride", I think you'll be happy soon. Good to see The Truth About Love debut on your Albums Chart! I only know "I Knew You Were Trouble." from your Airplay Chart! You stan hard for Kerli!

I was thinking about new rues, extended charts and new layout as well ...but I still couldn't make up my mind, so everything just stayed as it was for now

Interesting to see Mrs Greenbird, guess it's the first time I've seen them on here  ...haven't listened to much of them though

Your #1 is great, Birdy's is a cute song and Emeli's is just so powerfull and outstanding

@ Tiger
Thank you! So glad to see you like so many songs this week! :)

@ Haribo
Oh nice to know. I can't wait to see how it will look like. My presentation isn't that good but i have no idea how do to it better. Your charts looks so good :)

Yeah i know... but i'm not tired of the song yet :D

Glad you like these! Yes, "Ride" is falling faster than "Video Games", but it's still very successful compared to other songs of the charts. It's also weaker than "Video Games" IMO. Yeah... Kerli is my fave artist

@ BeeFan
Oke... yeah it's hard to do some changes. I thought about it since may or june and i wasn't sure until two weeks ago what i wanted to change
I finally just thought to do it like that and if it won't be good i can change it again...

Yeah, they're really unknown here... but i like them. Not a usual casting winner IMO.

So glad you like these!

How sweet. But the truth is, I've been totally uninspired lately. I do like your presentation, but I do like changes too.

I don't know Kerli. I don't know any of her song either.

@ Haribo
Oh, then i hope you will get your inspiration back soon :) And thank you very much :D

Well, Kerli is pretty unknown. She had a small hit called "Walking In The Air" in 2008 that charted in some european countries (Switzerland, Germany, Italy...) plus since 2010 she had three songs on the US Dance Charts.

@ GoodBoyGoneBad
Glad to see you like them!

week 2/2013 – 10 january 2012

Singles Top20

Taylor scores her fourth consecutive week at #1 with “I Knew You Were Trouble.”. It’s her first song to do so and it could reign the next week too. Like last week, there are three new entries this week. The first one is the swedish pop duo Icona Pop at #3 with their single “I Love It”. One place behind them at #4, the third single of the second album by Adam Lambert, called “Trespassing”, makes it’s debut. The third debut just misses out the Top10, debuting at #11. The ‘unlucky’ song is “Mountain Sound” by Of Monsters And Men. It’s their second charts entry after their #5-peaking single “Little Talks” in 2012.

Kerli comes back to the Top10 after six week outside of them by moving 15-10. “The Lucky Ones” also gets a Platinum certification this week. Another certification goes to Ke$ha. Her single “C’mon” gets Gold, despite falling 13-19 this week.

Album Top10

While Taylor is #1 and Ellie #2 on the Singles Top20, it’s the other side on the album charts. Like last week, “Halcyon” still tops the Album Top10, now for the sixth non-consecutive week. “Red” can climb one place from #3 to #2 and switches places with Birdy. While there’s no new entry this week, there are two re-entries. Adam Lambert’s “Trespassing” comes back at #9 while Emeli Sandé’s “Our Version Of Events” comes back at #10.

Rihanna’s “Unapologetic” gets certified with Platinum this week. It’s her third album to do so after “Loud” and “Talk That Talk”.

Airplay Top10

Like last week, most of the songs on the Airplay Top10 are some songs by Kerli. #1 of the Single Charts and last week’s Airplay #1 Taylor Swift falls out of the Top10 with zero plays on my iTunes this week. Meanwhile, “I Need Your Love” and “My Blood” by Ellie Goulding both enters the Top10 at #9 and #10. Overall plays of the Top10 are +43 (+17.6%) compared to the plays of the Top10 last week.

@ Haribo
Yes, i do ;)
Well, i don't think so. Currently it looks like "Red" will fall a few places...

@ Tiger
Glad you like them!

@ PosziMC2
Haha

Well, for me it's one of her weakest single ever, if not the weakest itself. Maybe it will grow on me later, but for now i'm already over it...

@ abi
Yes, it is! :)

@ swiftie13
Glad you like Taylor and Ellie too :D

@ GoodBoyGoneBad
Yes, but that's not a big surprise, because her album is just amazing!

week 3/2013 – 17 january 2012

Singles Top20

Third week of the year and again three new entries this week. None of them is strong enough for a #1 debut. The highest comes in at #3 and is “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. It’s already her third Top5-song after “Jar Of Hearts” (#3) and “Arms” (#4). Lenka’s “Everything At Once” – currently a hit in some german-speaking countries and Belgium – comes in at #9 while UK X-Factor winner James Arthur debuts at #10 with his debut single “Impossible”.

Taylor Swift reigns for the fifth consecutive week with “I Knew You Were Trouble.”, but there is a new competitor for next weeks #1. “Mountain Sound” by Of Monsters And Men rises 11-2 after the debut last week and is now even higher than their last hit “Little Talks” which peaked at #5.

Album Top10

Nothing special on top this week as Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon” remains at #1 for the fourth consecutive week (and 7th overall). But like on the Single Charts, there’s a surprising new competitor. “My Head Is An Animal”, the debut album by Icelandic band Of Monsters And Men, has an amazing re-entry this week at #2. The album already charted in 2012 and peaked at #3 for three weeks, so it’s getting a new peak too this week.

Some other good news for Ellie: Her album “Halcyon” is getting certified with 5x GOLD this week.

Airplay Top10

As you can see, I’m still obsessed with Kerli. Like last week, the estonian singer dominates the Airplay Top10, leading it with “Can’t Control The Kids” for the 2nd consecutive week with 46 plays (+7), so it's the first song of this year with 100 or more plays. I listen to her songs everywhere… on the way to work, while I’m jogging or while I’m at the gym and that’s the reason why she has so many plays. I must say that three weeks ago, I always listened to Ellie Goulding while I was jogging or at the gym. I’m still doing this sometimes and that’s also why her songs “I Need Your Love” and “My Blood” are also in the Airplay Top10. But currently Ellie has no chances against Kerli.

Plays of the Top10 this week are up by 16 to 303 (+5.6%) compared to last week.

To be honest, I'm really surprised by "I Knew You Were Trouble." success in here. Will you chart "Cola"? Do you like it? :)

Sad for Red fall.

You stan hard for Kerli. Well, I understand. I'd only listen to Beyoncé in theory. :-?

Think you meant 2013, hon.

You got a nice chart again (except of your number-one. I still don't get, why Taylor Swift is that popular)

However, lovely #3 and "Figure 8" is amazing. It has grown on me a lot lately.

What a bummer that "Stay" has to leave your Top5. Hopefully, it will make a comeback, when its music video will be released.

"Scream & Shout" is already out? ALTHOUGH It finally rached #1 in Switzerland and Germany? - What a big mistake xd

But I'm glad that "Heal" is still listed on your album chart. Hopefully, it can stay there for a while (although 11 wks is fine xD)
