hotchoc26 wrote:Yes, another question, because you have such a large chart database, could you answer (or at least estimate) the number of credited artists (lead and featuring) who have charted on the top 200 from 1952 (after Missing Charts) to present?

Or at least could you do the number of just lead artists? I am asking this because I would like to have an idea of how much stats we have for our wiki (currently almost 1,000 artists). On chartarchive.org it said there were about 12,000 lead artists charting on the top 100 from 1952-17/11/2012.

And out of curiosity, how many gigabytes (or terabytes) of storage does your entire database take up?
On the UK Singles chart (including top 200) a total of 19,288 acts have charted. The number of artists total 17,935.
For the UK Albums charts the numbers are 6,594 and 6,418.

The entire database takes about 1.5 gigabytes. Excluding index files, so only data, it takes about 580 megabytes.
The size of the core table (the one with the weekly charts) is 62 megabytes.
These numbers include the charts for the US charts.

NicholasBBQ32 wrote:There is a mistake in the Lady Gaga and Space Cowboy runs.

It says there, that there is a song on their runs saying "Speechless (ft. Space Cowboy & Flo Rida)". I can tell you that "Speechless" is not the song by Lady Gaga that features Space Cowboy and Flo Rida, It is actually "Starstruck".
Lady Gaga does have a song called Speechless by Lady Gaga which also features Space Cowboy & Flo Rida and peaked at 88 as well as Starstruck. He just needs to update it to include the run for Starstruck.
Yes you're right, will be fixed.
Thanks!
Sorry, who was right? There is a song called Speechless by Lady Gaga which also features Space Cowboy & Flo Rida and peaked at 88, as well as Starstruck which features the same artists. Do you mean you are going to update the runs to put Starstruck on as well? :-?
I've corrected it as follows:
"Speechless" by Lady Gaga
"Starstruck" by Lady Gaga ft. Space Cowboy & Flo Rida
..previously, I had it the other way round.
I've fixed Lady Gaga's chart history post.

If you can't, could you say if any of these songs have ever seen the 201-250 part of the chart? I'm not requesting the runs yet, but would just like to know if they have.

Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astely
[cut]

And do you have any knowledge of why the chart was changed back from a top 250 to a top 200 after less than 2 years?
I can but will not post weekly charts or parts of weekly chart, sorry. There are other threads for that.

The UK weekly singles top 250 charts ran from 23 April 2005 to 18 March 2006 and are included in my database. The weekly positions are included in the chart runs you see in this thread.
If you like to know if certain artists or records have charted between 201 and 250, just check the chart histories of the artists in this thread. If there is not a chart history of the artist you want, just request it. You know the rules by now.

you know that there were reports of come positions even below top 250? For instance:
Gouryella [rm] 10.07.1999
15 17 21 28 35 46 65 81 93 107 110 114 127 130 177 xx xx xx xx xx xx xx 294 176 193 147 153*
I always found those positions odd
No I did not. Can Hanboo confirm this? The chart never ceases to surprise me!
I can confirm positions below #250 are odd, since I don't posess or have seen UK singles charts bigger than the above top 250.
Robbie's post on this (on page 431) explains it well.

If I would have the time (which I don't) it wouldn't be feasible on a forum site like this. You'd need a dedicated website with a live database behind it. Sites like billboard.com or officialcharts.com

Just bookmark it in your browser.

Could not find "Kristina Från Duvemåla". Do you have one or more titles?
