#20 Image||> David Bowie - Where Are We Now?

Lovely lead single, ambient, the album was a letdown for me personally on first few listens.
#19 Image||> Paul Simon – Thelma

I only know this as a Saints bonus track but think it's included on one of his Greatest Hits, this fits The Rhythm of The Saints so well though, it's really funky and infectious.
#18 Image||> Donovan – Where Is She?

Soo dreamy.....ahhhh, I love this one.
#17 Image||> Devin Townsend Project - Trainfire

Dev channels Elvis Presley on this really cool track! 8-)
#16 Image||>Goldfrapp – Head First

This album is so underrated, the title track is extra lush and has a euphoric romance to it, looove.
#15 Image||> 10cc – Shock on the Tube (Don't Want Love)

Was it a single? Should have been, love it! So catchy and funky! :P
#14 Image||> Goldfrapp – Simone

Mysterious, haunting, it's a stunner!
#13 Image||> Alison Moyet – When I Was Your Girl

Lead single from "The Minutes" and Alison's highest, yes it's a corker!
#12 Image||> Simon & Garfunkel - Punky's Dilemma

I adore this album, this track just happened to be the highest this year! A super cute song that makes me want to desperately be an English muffin! 8-) :lol:
#11 Image||>Goldfrapp – Laurel

Alison's voice is stunning, the vocal lows and highs are perfect, this song is perfection, reminds me of the Felt Mountain album, the highest from this album but not from them.
I lied I'll finish tomorrow. :D

What's the rush? You've got seven days until it moves to the other forum and is swamped! :wink:

S and G good. The Devin one lost me. The 10cc one lost me when the pace picked up.
Obv i like Frapp, those two not the highlights of Tales for me.

#10 Image||> Lily Allen – Hard Out Here

Yes musically it's generic but this was a fun out of nowhere return from Lil and I love what the song is about and Lily's satirical approach, really excited for her new album!!! :D
#09 Image||> Paul Simon – Proof

A monster, amazing pop song! I really love Paul's songwriting ability and his way with a melody, the Brazilian theme on this album is magic to the ears. That chorus as well. :o
#08 Image||> Paul Simon – She Moves On

I love how this album has those little melodies tucked away and you need to listen intently to get every last drop out, the songs are gems and after a few listens this one drew me in very much, class.
#07 Image||> Goldfrapp - Satin Chic (Through The Mystic Flaming Lips Mix)

Love the original but was obsessed with this remixed version, it's gorgeous to these ears. :P
#06 Image||>Donovan – Sunny South Kensington

One of those class songs that can conger up images in your head, another great old school Donovan track!
#05 Image||> Paul Simon – The Coast

As you probably can tell this album was a MASSIVE hit for me, and all of it's songs charted very well this year! This is one of the more anthemic songs on the album, yet again another wonderful Paul song!
#04 Image||> Anastacia – Welcome To My Truth

Anastacia is one of my favourite female pop singers and this is a great pop song with a sentimental yet touching message, this song has really become my favourite Anastacia song over the years shame it didn't give her another hit, it was also one of her best videos!
#03 Image||> Amy Studt – Paper Made Man

I remember first hearing this in 2006/07 on Myspace and was amazed by how different and eerie sounding it was for Amy, the song only gets better every time I hear it, it has this subtle yet sumptuous hook a really fantastic song in my personal opinion!
#02 Image||> Anastacia - One Day In Your Life

This song is mega power pop, Anastacia's highest this year, it's a song that refuses to tire for me, Anastacia's super human lungs are still sounding as amazing as ever, a really great uplifting song! <3
#01 Image||>Paul Simon – The Cool, Cool River

So here it is! Paul grabs the #1 spot in 2013 with this totally beautiful song, listen a few times all of the way through....total bliss. 8-) I was totally drawn in by this amazing song this year, I still am sad by how underrated this effortlessly magic album is! :x

Damn, my prediction for your #1 was Goldfrapp, due to how impressed you were with the new album :lol:
Amy's My Paper Made Man is the coolest song from the album definitely. My fave is probably She Ran due to a similarity with Tori I noticed, but the title track gets the title of most awesome, especially the bridge part where she howls or sth :lol: 8-)

Well I have a top 10 song list, so I just give each song 2-20 points based on it's position in the chart. I've also made the odd tweak here and there and also songs with the same points were ordered by favourite.

Oh come on, Lily is not really generic... I mean... I get what you want to say! But I feel like every pop song from today then is "generic"... I mean, it's pop! I feel that "generic" is a concept that is copied and pasted all the time... As a big Britney fand I'd for example say that "Oops I Did It Again" and "Stronger" are generic because they follow the complete same structure as her very first singles... same goes with Pitbull songs - because it's always the same concept... Idk sorry for this essay but "generic" always has this negative touch :lol:

I like these songs: :)

Yep I don't think it's super generic like a lot of songs are but I can understand how understand would see it as relatively so. :wink:

But Crazy, something REALLY crazy happened. I just realized that Nothing Fails, the amazing Madonna track, was co-written by Jem. I never knew this before. What a crazy coincidence now!
