thanks so much for all comments

week 13/2014 – 27 march 2014 S.H.A.K.I.R.A.
    Singles Top40
After the Within Temptation invasion last week, this week seems to be much more quiet as there are only three new entries and two re-entries. The highest of these new entries comes in right at the top of the Singles Top40. After the two singles “Applause” (#1) and “Do What U Want” (#2) plus the two promo singles “Venus” (#1) and “Dope” (#4), “G.U.Y.” was chosen to be the third proper release from Lady GaGa’s third album “ARTPOP”. They immediately released the song with its video and its debut on top this week was pretty safe, as this is one of the highlights of the album and the video seems to be one of her best ones ever.

After the low debut last week, german singer MarieMarie makes a huge leap this week as “Cotton Candy Hurricane” is up 39-2. Rounding up the Top3 is another new entry as Shakira’s new single “Empire” arrives there.

Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” (5-4) switches places with Colbie Caillat’s “Hold On” (4-5). In its 20th week on the charts, Ellie’s “How Long Will I Love You” is up one place (7-6). It’s in the Top10 for the 11th non-consecutive weeks. “Mother Earth” by Within Temptation falls 3-7, their collaboration with Tarja called “Paradise” is down 2-8 and their current single “Whole World Is Watching” decreases 6-9. The last song in the Top10 is Indila’s “Dernière danse” (8-10).

Debuting on top doesn’t mean to be successful in all cases. As for last week’s chart topper, this may be the case as Elaiza’s “Is It Right” tumbles 1-12 this week. After five weeks, “Tourner dans le vide” by Indila falls out of the Top10 for the first time (10-13).

Shakira’s and Rihanna’s song “Can’t Remember To Forget You” re-enters at a good #23 due to Shakira’s album release. Despite debuting on top in its first week it left the charts pretty fast. Also back on the charts is Lady GaGa’s “Do What U Want” at #27. It’s charting for pretty good 22 weeks now. The third and last new entry is Demi Lovato’s “Let It Go” at #39.

The biggest climber is the already mentioned “Cotton Candy Hurricane” by MarieMarie. The biggest losers are Within Temptation’s “Stand My Ground” (12-26) and Avicii’s “Addicted To You” (24-38).

    Album Top20
The Top3 on the Singles Top40 is completely new and the same thing also happens on the Album Top20. There are two new entries this week and both of them are in the Top2.

Pretty unsurprising, Shakira’s self-titled album “Shakira.” comes in at the top. It’s her second number one album after “Sale el sol” (two weeks in 2010) and her third entry on the album charts overall as “She Wolf” peaked at #4 also in 2010.

The second new entry is the debut album by MarieMarie called “Dream Machine”. With the single “Cotton Candy Hurricane” being at #2, the german singer now owns a #2-peaking single and album. Rounding up the Top3 is Lady GaGa’s “ARTPOP”, which makes an impressive rise as it’s up 18-3 in its 20th week on the charts.

After the very huge concert effect last week, Within Temptation’s “Hydra” drops 1-4 and is now as low as never before in its 8th week. “The Journey So Far…” by Loreena McKennitt falls 2-5 after being the highest new entry last week. Miley Cyrus continues with her amazing chartrun for “Bangerz” despite falling 4-6.

Within Temptation’s “The Silent Force” is down 3-7 with Katy Perry being behind them with her third record “Prism” (7-8). The album finally shows some nice longevity. Indila’s debut album “Mini World” is down 6-9 with “The Heart Of Everything” by Within Temptation completing the Top10 this week (5-10).

Despite being ten years old, “Mother Earth” by Within Temptation reachs a new peak this week in its fourth charting week as it’s up 17-14. It’s still their only charting album that peaked outside the Top10 so far though. After some surprising high positions, Emmelie De Forest’s “Only Teardrops” sees a huge falls as it’s down 9-20.

    Airplay Top10
In the second consecutive week in a row, all ten songs from the Airplay Top10 this week are new- or re-entries. So after the Within Temptation tracks all over the airplay charts, it’s Lady GaGa and Shakira who are reigning this week.

Back on top is Lady GaGa’s new single “G.U.Y.” with 58 plays. It previously charted for three weeks after the release of the album “ARTPOP”. Only three plays less got “Dare (La La La)”, an album track from Shakira’s new album “Shakira.” and possibly also a future single. Rounding up the Top3 is “Do What U Want” by Lady GaGa which peaked at #2 last autumn.

“Venus”, another song by GaGa, is back at #4. It was a huge airplay hit last year as it topped the Airplay Top10 for four weeks. Album track “Sexxx Dreams” is back at #5 and title track “ARTPOP” back at #6.

The new single by Shakira called “Empire” makes its first appearance at #7. Meanwhile, Shakira’s single “Can’t Remember To Forget You” is back at #9.

The two last songs in the Top10 are Lady GaGa’s “Swine” (#9) and her album opener “Aura” (#10). Both also appeared on the charts last year.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 60 to 328 (+22.4%) compared to last week

Do you know her other tracks? I'm currently in love with "Candy Jar" :)

Oh so you're a Kylie stan? It's actually my first album by Kylie, so that debut is okay :-?
Both Candy songs are good! I actually listened in full to her album but I'm not too enthusiastic about it. It's a bit non-eventful in complete.

Well actually I always liked her music! I might become a bit of a stan right now, because this year I fell in love with Aphrodite and Kiss Me Once :) Fever and X are also very good albums, Body Language was an interesting experiment. Light Years is too cheesy for me and I can't really connect to her 90s stuff... On the other hand, I Should Be So Lucky is one of my fave songs ever, and she is soooo cute in the music video!

The thing is that she is the only one that didn't disappoint me with her two recent efforts, wheras some others did (Madonna with MDNA a little bit, well actually it was more how the era was handled... Gaga but that has to do with the change of her style and her whining... Britney Jean wheras the album is not bad, but the single selection was stupid but yeah Britney's not promoting either so...). But could also be that my expectations for Kylie might have not been as high as for the others... Will go to her concert in October :D

-----

Good to see GUY at #1 - the video is making the song better :) (It has The Fame era teas, but the chorus isn't as massive as from songs like Paparazzi or Bad Romance...)

A bit sad about the hard drop for Elaiza. I hope you like their album!

MarieMarie <3 - I voted for her several times. It's a pity that she won't represent my country in Eurovision next month. However, it's great that you give her a place to shine ;) - Also, I love to see "G.U.Y." on the top of your chart! It has grown on me lately as well (thanks to its epic music video).

Great to see that your attendance at WT's concert has an impact on your chart as well! - I'm goin' to see them live in a week and a half as well. It was great to read your impressions (although I have to agree that the setlist wasn't as good as it could have been.. I honestly hope that there will be some changes soon!)

Yes, but to be honest i'm still a bit disappointed by the album as i expected some better songs and i still prefer her last two albums. But it's solid, and that's ok + it still can grow on me.

Glad you like this.
Yes, GG was stable but it's set to fall a few places this week as i don't like is as much as a few weeks ago.

Yes, it kinda is but i'm still positively surprised by the album. I never thought i would like it as much as i do now :o

Oh cool. Sounds nice this little story :) As i said, "Kiss Me Once" is my first album by Kylie but i know nearly all of her singles of course, and "I Should Be So Lucky" is amazing. I guess i'll buy her next record for sure even if "Kiss Me Once" didn't amaze me.

Glad you like this week's number one. Yes, the video is flawless :o Finally GaGa again

Finally got Elaiza's album and it's really nice! It won't debut pretty high this week though as i only got it yesterday and haven't that much time to listen to it. But so the chances for a nice second week will be even better. :)

After last weeks number one was a pretty sure thing to be on top, this weeks chart topper seems a bit more surprising. German singer MarieMarie just got a #2-peaking single with “Cotton Candy Hurricane” last week, and this week she’s smashing even more with another single called “Candy Jar” (seems like she loves candies!) as the song debuts on top this week. It’s already the 12th number one song of the year as only two songs remained on top for more than one week – but only for one more. It’s also already the 8th song that debuts directly on top.

Behind her there’s already the second highest new entry as Christina Perri’s “Human” comes in at #2. It’s the lead single of her second album “Head Or Heart”, which also debuts on the Album Top20 this week. “Human” immediately becomes her highest-peaking single. Lady GaGa’s “G.U.Y.” slips 1-3.

The already mentioned “Cotton Candy Hurricane” by MarieMarie falls 2-4. Due to the release of Anette Olzon’s solo debut album, the promo single “Falling” re-enters the charts at an impressive #5. The song debuted and peaked at #2 in december 2013. Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” is down two (4-6), the same like Colbie Caillat’s “Hold On” (5-7). Shakira’s “Empire” drops 3-5, Ellie Goulding’s “How Long Will I Love You” goes down 6-9 and theTop10 is closed by a third new entry. After “Wings” (#4) and “Light Me Up” (#11), “Words As Weapons” was released as the new single from Birdy’s album “Fire Within” and debuts at #10.

Just outside the Top10 there’s a surprising re-entry as Lindsey Stirling’s “Crystallize” is back at #11. This is mostly due to the fact that she announced her upcoming second album “Shatter Me” and the release of the video for “Beyond The Veil”, which was released in the US and Canada as the first single. All countries outside these two countries still have to wait for an official first single.

Within Temptation fall out of the Top10 for the first time with “Whole World Is Watching” (9-14). It’s a more or less sad week overall for the group, as they have no entry in the Top10 this week compared to three entries last week. Behind them, there’s “Lies”, the first official single of Anette Olzon’s album “Shine”, which re-enters the charts. The song charted for four weeks until a few weeks ago when it left the charts due to the Within Temptation invasion.

“Ice Queen” by Within Temptation falls out of the Top20 after two weeks (16-21). Even worse is the drop for “Paradise (What About Us?)”, which is down 8-22 in its 26th week. Leaving the Top20 for the first time too is Miley Cyrus’ “Adore You” (18-23) and Emmelie De Forest’s “Rainmaker” (11-24). Both debuted on top of the charts earlier this year.

Bruno Mars celebrates his 50th week on the charts with the never-dying “Locked Out Of Heaven”. The song is up one place this week to #27. Another long charting single is Ellie Goulding’s “Burn”, which will celebrate the 40th week on the charts next week. As for this week the song leaves the Top30 for the first time (29-32).

The biggest climber is Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne as their “Rather Be” rises 35-29. The biggest loser is “Angels” by Within Temptation (20-37).

    Album Top20
With three new albums on the charts this week, it was a kinda busy week overall. There were even two re-entries. The highest of these new entries just makes it to the top. After being delayed for a month, the solo debut album by Anette Olzon called “Shine” was finally released last friday. Anette is known for being the frontwoman and singer of the finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, but they kinda fired her in autumn 2012. Despite both released songs “Falling” and “Lies” stopped at #2, “Shine” got the debut on top pretty easily this week.

Behind her there’s still german newcomer MarieMarie with her debut album “Dream Machine” (2-2). Closing the Top3 is another debut. Originally planned for a release a few weeks earlier, Christina Perri’s second album “Head Or Heart” was also pushed back but was finally released last friday. While its original date would have been better for it as it would have got a bigger chance to top the charts, the album still gets a good debut at #3 now. But still, that’s two places lower than the debut and peak of her debut album “lovestrong.” two years ago.

Shakira is down 1-4 with her self-titled album while Lady GaGa slips 3-5 with “ARTPOP”. At #6 there’s the third and last new entry as another german newcomer debuts with their debut album. It’s Elaiza, the representer of Germany on this year’s ESC and their album is called “Gallery”.

Within Temptation’s “Hydra” leaves the Top5 for the first time as it’s down 4-7. Lindsey Stirling’s self-titled debut album is back at #8 mostly due to the announcement of her upcoming second album, her Echo victory and her new video for the new song “Beyond The Veil”. Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” is down 6-9. It’s charting for 26 weeks now, so a half year, but is as low as never before this week. The last album in the Top10 is Loreena McKennitt’s best of “The Journey So Far...” (5-10).

Katy Perry’s “Prism” (8-11) and Indila’s “Mini World” (9-12) both leave the Top10 this week. While “Prism” already left these before, it’s the first time for Indila to be outside the Album Top10. Same goes for “The Silent Force” by Within Temptation (7-15).

The second re-entry of this week is “Fire Within” by Birdy which is back at #18 due to her new single “Words As Weapons”.

    Airplay Top10
It nearly looked like we would get another week with a completely new Airplay Top10, but at least one song from last week survived in the end. It’s “G.U.Y.” by Lady GaGa, which re-entered atop one week ago and falls 1-6 this week.

New on top is MarieMarie and “Candy Jar”. The song got pretty impressive 108 plays, being one of the most played song of a week so far. Another song from her, “Cotton Candy Hurricane”, also enters the charts but lower at #8.

Anette Olzon’s release of “Shine” also brings some new- and re-entries this week. The highest one is album track “Floating” at #2, followed by “One Million Faces” at #3, “Invincible” at #4 and “Moving Away” at #5. The first release “Falling” re-enters the charts at #7 as the last track from Anette. The five other songs from “Shine” just missed a place under the best ten, with single “Lies” being at #11...

Lindsey Stirling’s “Crystallize” which was a big airplay hit in 2013 is back at #9 with 30 plays while Christina Perri’s “Human” becomes the first song for the US singer on the Airplay Top10 at #10.

Plays of the Top10 went up by 134 to 462 (+40.9%) compared to last week

Perfect Top6 (I still need to get into Olzon's solo stuff, though) - I love to see "Words As Weapons" enter your chart! It's a lovely track and I sincerely hope that it will be a hit for her!

32 weeks for "Wrecking Ball" is just stunnin'! And it hasn't left the Top15 yet Oo

WT's track are great as well. I went to their concert yesterday, so expect some rebound for their tracks on my next chart ;)

Your FSC winning entry (Congratulation again!) is great as well! I'm glad that it went Gold on your chart!

I don't know why everybody seems to like "Rather Be" by Clean Bandit. It's number-one on iTunes for days/weeks now. - It's not pullin' off well on your chart, though - but I really think that this song is freakin' overrated. It just annoys me :D

Should I check out those MarieMarie songs ? :P Which genre is it ?

Many fab songs on here ! Flawless as always :)
I'm just astonished by the fact how you're till not bored of BURN :o

N "Jump" can't leave so soon
Glad you love so many songs here :)

Yeah, i can't wait to see where "Human" will debut on your charts.

Well, you can, "Candy Jar" is her best song, but it's kinda monotonic. It's still a great pop tune for me and i love the chorus & the lyrics :) It's pop, or alternative pop... hard to describe tbh  But she wanted to represent Germany on the ESC this year, but failed. She also plays harp in lots of her songs.

Thanks!
No, i guess i'll never be bored of it  Still nice everytime i hear it.

Well, it was at least a bit stable after the big fall in its second week

32 weeks for "Wrecking Ball" is just stunnin'! And it hasn't left the Top15 yet Oo

thanks - glad you think the Top6 is perfect :D
Will you check out Anette's album? It's amazing, lots of great songs. It's kinda short though (10 songs, 38 minutes or so in total). But nine of these ten tracks are really good. It's not a 'ex-NW-singer-album' but 100% an 'Anette-Olzon-album'. Her voice on the songs are magical and touching, especially on ballads like "Invincible" and "Moving Away" :)
Glad you like "Words As Weapons" and i think the same. It's actually my favorite track of "Fire Within" and it MUST be a hit. I'm afraid it won't though... after "Light Me Up" flopped :(

Yes, the song never gets old to me. Still amazes me :)

Yay can't wait to see the influence + hopefully i can read your little review for the concert

Thanks :) It's one of the best songs this year so far for me, so yeah, Gold is a good success for her :)

It's currently growing on me due to someone performed it on DSDS. But yeah, at first i wasn't sure about it and thought it's nothing outstanding or special, i was surprised to see it being a huge hit. But as i said, it's growing on me and i definitely check out the album when it's out, so the song may become a hit on my charts too...

True... Christina's singles are all really great, shame she didn't release more from "lovestrong."...

thanks so much for all comments

week 15/2014 – 10 april 2014 these are Beautiful Times...
    Singles Top40
It goes fast this year. Week after week there’s a completely new song on top of the Singles Top40 and it’s the same this time too. But if two pretty big acts makes a duet together, then a debut on top is pretty sure, isn’t it? While the ‘big duet’ of last year was “Paradise (What About Us?)” between Within Temptation and Tarja, the ‘big duet’ of this year is probably “Beautiful Times” by Owl City and Lindsey Stirling. Owl City got several Top10 hits before, with his latest hit “Good Time” with canadian Carly Rae Jepsen peaking on top of the charts for three non-consecutive weeks. So “Beautiful Times” is his second chart topper, while it’s the first for Lindsey Stirling and her second entry overall.

While last weeks number one “Candy Jar” by MarieMarie falls 1-3, the current single called “Lies” by Anette Olzon rises 15-2 and re-peaks after the debut at the same position about two months ago.

Lady GaGa’s “G.U.Y.” drops out of the Top3 after only two weeks (3-4). But this is more because of the big competition and not because the song isn’t good enough. Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” is up one place (6-5), same like Colbie Caillat’s “Hold On” (7-6). After the debut last week, Birdy’s “Words As Weapons” reaches a new peak by rising 10-7. Behind her there’s the most successful song of 2013; “Crystallize” by Lindsey Stirling is up 11-8 in its 59th week. It wasn’t that high since its 13th week – so a really impressive climb this week.

The last two songs in the Top10 are Ellie Goulding’s “How Long Will I Love You” (9-9) and MarieMarie’s “Cotton Candy Hurrican”, which drops 4-10 in its third week in the Top10.

Shakira’s “Empire” (8-11), Christina Perri’s “Human” (2-12) and Anette Olzon’s “Falling” (5-16) are out of the Top10. With this, “Human” becomes Christina’s first single to spend only one week under the best ten songs.

Australian newcomer Vance Joy re-enters with his upcoming summer hit “Riptide” at #14. The song previously charted for one week at #33 a few weeks ago, but dropped out a week after. It’s currently becoming a hit in the german-speaking countries after being a huge hit last year in his home country Australia. German newcomer duo Milky Chance make their first appearance with their debut hit “Stolen Dance” at #19. The debut is actually kinda late as the song was a huge hit over here last year.

In its sixth week, Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne finally bullets into the Top20 with the worldwide smash “Rather Be” (29-20). The song previously peaked at #23 and could get an even higher peak when the album drops.

“Whole World Is Watching” by Within Temptation is out of the Top20 for the first time (14-21). Same goes for their other song “Mother Earth” (18-23) and also for the songs “Dernière danse” (19-22) and “Tourner dans le vide” (20-24) by french singer Indila.

While swiss band Anna Rossinelli is back at #26 with “Shine In The Light”, Bruno Mars can celebrate another Gold certified single with “Young Girls” (33-33). With this certification, all five released songs from his second album “Unorthodox Jukebox” are now certified, with lead single “Locked Out Of Heaven” (27-31) being the biggest success by far. Another celebration is happening for Ellie Goulding’s “Burn”, as the song spends its 40th week on the charts (32-32).

The biggest climber this week is Anette Olzon’s “Lies” while the songs “Ice Queen” (21-34) and “Paradise (What About Us?)” (22-35) by Within Temptation are the biggest losers.

    Album Top20
Anette Olzon’s solo debut album “Shine” remains on top for a second week. It’s just the second album that debuts on top and remains there for at least another week this year, after “Hydra” by Within Temptation, which spent its first four weeks on top.

The other two entries inside the Top3 are both by a german act, and both of them were on the preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. While the winner Elaiza go up 6-3 with their debut album “Gallery”, MarieMarie remains at number two for a third straight week with her debut album “Dream Machine”.

Shakira also remains at the same position as last week with her current release “Shakira.” (4-4). Lindsey Stirling’s self-titled debut album is up 8-5 in its 59th week on the charts, being back in the Top5 for the first time this year. Her highly anticipated second album “Shatter Me” will be released in three weeks.

Christina Perri’s “Head Or Heart” slips 3-6 after the debut last week. Lady GaGa’s “ARTPOP” is down 5-7 while Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” is up 9-8. The last two albums in the Top10 are both by Within Temptation. While their current record “Hydra” is down 7-10 in its tenth week, their second album “Mother Earth” (which was originally released over ten years ago) reaches a new peak again, as it’s climbing into the Top10 for the first time ever by rising 13-9.

One album falls out of the Top10; “The Journey So Far...” by canadian singer Loreena McKennit (10-11). The best of spent three weeks under the best ten albums.

While there’s no new album this week, there are two re-entries at least. Due to the announcement of the new single “Sing” (which will be released in a few weeks over here) and the upcoming album “x”, Ed Sheeran’s debut album “+” is back at #18. It previously charted due to the big success of his song “I See Fire”, but none of the singles from that album made an appearance. Even a place higher is the other re-entry as Owl City’s last album “The Midsummer Station” is back at #17. The album spent three weeks on top in 2012.

Finally, the last thing to mention is something about an album that falls out of the charts for the first time ever since its debut over a year ago. It’s about “Utopia”, the second release by Kerli. After an astonishing 55 weeks, the album falls out for the first time. It spent incredible 46 weeks inside the Top10, and only nine more between #11 and #20. It started to fall fast after the Within Temptation invasion, but even if it drops out now, it still had an amazing chartrun. And with an upcoming release which is expected to come out later this year, it could come back again.

    Airplay Top10
It’s Anette Olzon’s week! The swedish singer brings some other entries after having five entries last week as three other album tracks and the current single are all new- or back on the Airplay Top10.

The former Nightwish frontwoman tops the airplay charts with “Floating”, one of the fastest songs of her album “Shine”. The song got 62 plays over the last week, just two more than its closest follower “Lies”, the current single of Anette. The song previously charted on the Airplay Top10 around two months ago. The stunning ballad “Invincible” is up 4-3.

One song on the charts isn’t by Anette, and it’s “Beautiful Times” by Owl City and Lindsey Stirling. The dreamy pop song enters the charts at #4 with pretty good 48 plays (don’t forget that the song was just released on monday, so only two-three days of plays).

Anette’s “Moving Away” remains stable (5-5) while “One Million Faces” is down 3-6. Album opener “Like A Show Inside My Head” is new at #7, with the promo single “Falling” falling 7-8. The title track “Shine” is new at #9 while the last song on the charts is “Hear Me”, which is new at #10. So the only song that didn’t make the charts so far is the album closer “Watching Me From Afar”.

Plays of the Top10 went down by 6 to 456 (-1.3%) compared to last week.

Oooh ! Okay , I get that you like both acts BUT that's a dent in your really cool #1s series
It's a good tune , it grew on me today but not #1 material , I like the violin part tho

Maybe I'll check out Candy Jar

HUGE fall for Human :o

Anyway , nice to see many tracks I like ! Pretty good week overall :)
I had all and then most of you, some and now none of you.

I've already listened to the previews of Anette's solo album but no track really got me. However, time will tell. I am glad that you are touched by her voice and that you can ejoy the tracks ;)

When it comes to WT's concert, I can totally agree with you on what you've written about it. It was my fourth time that I attended a concert by WT and I think they are still amazing live. Sharon's voice sounds like studio versions, she's pure perfection + The new tracks are on fire. They totally worked on stage.
However, I missed "Whole World Is Watching" and "Sinéad", whereas I think that they didn't need to play songs like "See Who I Am" or "Iron".
Also, I was totally disappointed by the back-up/interlude videos.. they've been usin' them since "The Unforgiving" tour Oo

Your still watchin' DSDS? Oo

-I've checked out your current #1. Haven't heard it before! Lovely track, love his voice ;)

Amazing rebound for "Lies" & love to see that "G.U.Y." and "Candy Jar" are still part of your Top5.

Wow! You're kinda late with "Stolen Dance". Didn't see it comin' that it still has a chance to enter your chart! Like it! "Ripitde" is great as well ;)

Good #1, I played it again today and I definitely think it's a grower.
As for Owl City's albums, I think Midsummer Station is probably my favourite, I love some of the album tracks like Metropolis, Shooting Star, I'm Coming After You and Silhouette.

Oh you think so? :o :-? Well, when you think it's a good tune it's still a nice number one, isn't it? :)
Yay, the violin part is the best (<3 Lindsey!)

Good :)

Yes, it somehow bored me a bit last week. Not sure if it can climb back...

Glad you like so many tracks - thank you :)

Well, only official singles chart on my charts, that's why there are currently no other singles from "Head Or Heart", but "Burning Gold" should chart as soon as it's getin released as the second single 8-)

I think it's a beautiful ballad, but there's somehow something missin to make it stunning for me...

Yes! I still adore HLWILY
When the album came out i didn't like it at all and it was the weakest song by far from all new songs, but now i think it's one of her best songs

Ah okay. Well, is there any chance that you may buy her album? I know you loved DPP and "Imaginaerum", so i'm surprised you're not excited for her stuff at all :-?

Fourth time already? - Wow! :o
Glad you enjoyed it that much. And yeah, she's slaying it live! And true, i guess i love the new tracks even more live than the studio version, especially songs like "Tell Me Why" and "Let Us Burn". I hope there'll be a new live album soon!
Yes, i also missed some tracks, especially "Whole World Is Watching". I mean, it's the current single - why not playing it? :-?
Oh really? :o Well, it was my first concert of them so i didn't know these videos, but they seemed so odd and were kinda out of place to me. And yeah, i already thought they looked like something from "The Unforgiving"-era :-?

Yes
Is that bad?

Glad you like the current number one that much :D I guess (+ hope) you know Owl City?

Great that you like all these songs.
And yeah, i heard it on the radio pretty often lately and it kinda grew on me, so i thought i need to let it chart now, otherwise i'll regret it in a few years

Glad you like "Beautiful Times" :)
Yes, i also think it's a grower. I was a bit disappointed at first but now i really like it.

I also love "The Midsummer Station" and the tracks you mentioned are all great. "I'm Coming After You" is my highlight after "Good Time", and i also love "Speed Of Love" :)

Thanks for your comment. Nice to see that you like so many entries here.

Yes, Birdy's song is really underrated. Hopefully it can be a little hit for her.
Oh sure, check it out. I'm sure you will like it if you liked his previous stuff :)

Year-To-Date Charts 2014
    Singles Top15
It seems to be the year of the ballads so far as the four biggest hits of 2014 are ballads. Miley continues to smash with her never-dying power-pop-ballad "Wrecking Ball". It topped the charts in 2014 for one week after having topped it already eight weeks in 2013. With only a few points less, Ed Sheeran's first charting song "I See Fire" from the movie "Hobbit 2" is at number two. The song actually never topped the weekly charts, just like "How Long Will I Love You" by Ellie Goulding which is at #3 on the YTD charts. But both showed great longevity so far.

There are a few chart topper on this list though but the most surprising may be the high position for Lady Gaga's "Venus", as the song peaked at #11 on the weekly charts in 2014. So the #6 position on the YTD list is pretty impressive. Same goes to Ellie Goulding's "Burn", which peaked at #16 on the weekly charts in 2014 but still manages to be placed at #13 on the YTD list.

Finally, it's not a big surprise to see three songs by dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation on this list at it was their year so far. The singles "Dangerous", "Paradise" and "Whole World Is Watching" make appearances at #10, #11 and #12.

2. Ed Sheeran - I See Fire *G*
3. Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I Love You *P*

4. Miley Cyrus - Adore You *G*
5. Katy Perry feat. Juicy J - Dark Horse *G*
6. Lady GaGa - Venus *P*

7. Indila - Dernière danse *G*
8. tyDi & Kerli - Stardust *G*
9. Anette Olzon - Falling *G*

10. Within Temptation feat. Howard Jones - Dangerous *G*
11. Within Temptation feat. Tarja - Paradise (What About Us?) *P*
12. Within Temptation feat. Dave Pirner - Whole World Is Watching *G*

13. Ellie Goulding - Burn *3xG*
14. James Arthur - Recovery *G*
15. Bruno Mars - Young Girls *G*

.
    Album Top15
With a song at #1 and one at #4 on the YTD list of the Singles, it's not a big surprise to see Miley Cyrus' album "Bangerz" also on top of the YTD Album Top15. The hit album topped the weekly album charts for four consecutive weeks in 2014 and never left the Top10 so far. Lady GaGa comes second with her third full-length record "ARTPOP", followed by Ellie Goulding's "Halcyon Days" at #3. All these albums were released in 2013.

The highest ranking album released in 2014 is "Hydra" by Within Temptation at #5. Another symphonic metal record is only one place lower with "Colours In The Dark" by Tarja. "Colours" and the Top3 albums are the only albums that charted in all 15 weeks of the year so far.

The #1 album of 2013 was the self-titled debut album by Lindsey Stirling, which also makes an appearance on the YTD 2014 list at #13.
