Based on the first single, I Fall Asleep So Easily would be a better title :(. Will still check it out though.

The song is a bit slow but it’s cute. Definitely not single material though

Are you talking about 'Day And Night'? It's not a good single maybe, but it's a very nice song, no?

^ Yeah, that's the only thing I've heard from the album so far. It's not bad, just a little too slow for my taste.

Well I like the song but I'm not sure if this is my kind of music. Is this the general theme and sound for the entire album? If it is.....

*goes back to listening to Damage Control*

Kat Mcphee vs. Rachel Platten... who will get more sales in the end? lol

Seriously, some record companies have totally stopped caring for their artists, it looks they are only in to fulfill the record contracts by releasing random stuff.

^?? What are you talking about ?
Sure, this won’t be a monster hit but she’s working with huge names within the jazz music scene - potentially the best of the best

I was talking about the efforts being wasted away by strange management decisions, weak promotional plans and random music put together with no continuation.

Nevertheless its good to hear Katherine is working with big names in jazz music but I personally don't think a chart success would be around the corner. Remember she was presented as a pop artist in the beginning but now her music is totally different, such changes do ran out the fanbase, i personally consider this as a random decision making by the record labels. Albeit such condition is valid for loads of artists these days so that is rather unfortunate for talents being shuffled.

Ah I get that but following her career closely I know she always worked with some jazz musicians like David Foster and their collabs were always amazing so I’ve always really anticipated a jazz album from her. I hope she actually sticks with it as it suits her voice better than pop
You’re absolutely right about promotion though... however being a classics compilation I’d never really expected much investment on that side

Agreed.
Hope it gets some sorta recognition at the end of the day though.

I’m not sure if you’d call it a lead single but the first song released was Day and Night
