71. Loreen - Hate the Way I Love You

This one's a bit hard to get into because of its length and pace, but it's always a rewarding listen. Loreen's taken a more experimental approach with her new songs, and it's interesting to hear. The song's packed with emotion and waiting for it to develop is rewarding. Obviously it's not going to be a hit for her, but it's a good addition to her discography. At least it won me over!

70. Miguel - Told You So

The R&B hottie came back with this catchy tune! I haven't had much time to overplay it, but it's really cool. I really hope it's a hit for him because it deserves to be one, very enjoyable to listen to on the radio.

"Told You So" is good. I just listened to Miguel's album last night, and it's another solid effort. He's three for three (I never bothered to check out his debut album).

Surprised to read you didn't like Melodrama, one of my favourite albums of the year! And Perfect Places is easily the highlight on the record.
Learn To Let Go is a tune and that Loreen one is very nice as well.

Told You So is so, so catchy and a joy to listen to. Miguel is still as hot as ever as well.

first the Hole survivor, now MGMT as a standout, you're turning into an alternative diva, so proud  glad you checked the song out, I feel these more indie cuts in my countdown will be a bit ignored because most will focus on the mainstream singles
I don’t know what’s happening to me  haha. But no I really do enjoy going and listening to some not so mainstream or hit songs that people post in their countdowns. That’s how you truly find some gems that you’d be none the wiser too! And MGMT is defiantly one of them! So I’ll be on the lookout for anymore during this countdown :).

Miguel is.....alright? He hasn’t really done anything that has connected with me esp not this song; and he is easily replaceable on #beautiful.

69. Dirty Projectors - Cool Your Heart (feat. D∆WN)

I wasn't fond of the whole public drama between the two lovers of this band, so I wasn't sure how the band's music will turn out after Amber's departure. I didn't really get into the album (probably because I used to listen to them more in my alternative period), but this song is quite catchy and memorable.

68. Becky G - Mayores (feat. Bad Bunny)

This is a grower, didn't get the fuss at first, but I warmed up to it. I'm still amazed at how this song became Becky's biggest hit in Spanish-speaking countries (and parts of Europe) when her career almost seemed to be over. It's a bit generic, but I'm glad for her success. Her other Spanish songs are better though.

"Mayores" is good, but I doubt she'll ever top "Shower" for me.

true, Shower and Can't Stop Dancing are my faves too, even though overall she's much more consistent with her Spanish music

67. Kesha - Praying

The second and last Kesha single falls at #67. It was a great comeback and statement for her, and also a new direction, considering she wasn't exactly known for ballads. Sadly, I'm not in love with the song as much as I want to be. I enjoyed the album tracks more than the singles she released. As for this one, it was the perfect way to come back imho.

66. Clean Bandit - Symphony (feat. Zara Larsson)

While I find Zara Larsson annoying and overexposed, and I'm not too fond of Clean Bandit either, have to say that they make great melodies, and Zara's vocals fit perfectly here. I love the combination of strings and beats, for me it will always be one of the best instrument combos.

65. Louis Tomlinson (feat. Bebe Rexha, Digital Farm Animals) - Back to You

My fave single out of all the former 1D members! I do agree with most saying he doesn't really have any chance of longevity and success, but for a debut single, this was a nice bop. Idk even who the Digital Farm Animals are, but Bebe contributes a lot to the song. She's hit or miss for me, especially her voice, but in this one she comes as a nice addition.

I'm not crazy about "Praying" either, but, like most pop fans, I was just happy to see Kesha well and back in the game with new music.

"Symphony" is excellent - one of my top faves of the year.

Praying is one of my pop highlights of 2017. Truly stunning song and video. Just glad to have her back.

Praying grew on me tremendously, it should have been a top 10 at least.

64. Sia - Snowman

Sia's Xmas album is a big ball of hit, miss and wtf. This one harks back to the days of her lovely, sincere and well-written ballads. It will most likely not become a staple for every Christmas, but it's a warm, cosy and melancholic song that I'll definitely enjoy in the future.
