Spoiler:
Compared to several previous weeks, this week isn’t the busiest one with five new and four re-entries, but two of these new arrivals made quite a big impact on the charts, and that are German pop princess and former ESC winner Lena and Dutch symphonic metal pioneers Within Temptation. Both have collected several big hits in the previous few years, though it’s not the biggest surprise seeing Within Temptation arriving atop the charts with Lena just behind them.

Within Temptation’s new single is called “Raise Your Banner”, features Swedish metal singer Anders Fridén and serves as the second single of their upcoming album “Resist”. It’s their fourth consecutive single to enter the charts at number one and their seventh top hit overall. Its predecessor “The Reckoning” also benefits from the new single release as it’s climbing back up 13-7 in its tenth week. Meanwhile, since her breakthrough in early 2010 with the ESC winner song “Satellite”, Lena has collected eight entries which made the Top2 out of 11 chart entries in total, including four top hits. The singer will release her long awaited fifth album called “Only Love, L” in April next year with the song “Thank You” being its lead single. It debuts at #2. Meanwhile, the Top3 is closed by yet another ‘new’ song, though it’s a climber and not a completely new entry. Following its arrival a week ago, “Say My Name” by David Guetta, Bebe Rexha and J Balvin rises 8-3, becoming David’s highest peaking track in over four years and J Balvin’s highest peaking appearance ever.

Other new and re-entries this week: It seems to be a good time for former artists from the Eurovision Song Contest lately, as there were several entries from these artists in the last few weeks. Besides Lena, there’s another one who rose to fame through the contest who gets an entry this week: Belgium singer Blanche! The singer represented her home country on the 2017 contest with “City Lights”, which still is the most successful entry from that year to date. Additionally, she already made two entries after the contest with “Wrong Turn” (#11) and “Soon” (#12) and gets her fourth now with “Moment”, which has a similar debut to the others (#11). Following the release of their new album “LM5”, Little Mix debut at #17 with “Strip” featuring Sharaya J, who never made an appearance so far. Normani and 6LACK own the final debut of the week with “Waves” (#28).

As shortly mentioned, there are four re-entries on the charts this week, with two of them being back due to an album release and the others due to a special announcement. The former are “With You” (#35) and “GTFO” (#37) by Mariah Carey. The latter are “Blossom” (#29) and “Feral Hearts” (#31) by Estonian singer-songwriter Kerli. The two tracks were huge successes in 2016, with “Feral Heart” even being the number one song of the Year-End Charts 2016. Both were intended to be on Kerli’s album which was supposed to come out in Fall 2016, though things turned out completely different than expected and no album came out so far – until now! Last week, the singer finally announced the release of her new album for February 2019, with its lead single being released in eight days. Due to this announcement, the two singles from 2016 got enough steam to re-enter the Top40. “Feral Hearts” also crosses the magical 1,000 chart points mark this week, making Kerli the first artist with four songs topping that magical mark.

Other talking points this week: Ariana’s former top hit “Thank U, Next” falls 1-5 while “Breathin” drops 5-12. “God Is A Woman” (9-8) and “No Tears Left To Cry” (21-22) both remain very stable though. Following the recent flop comebacks for Carly Rae Jepsen, Ellie Goulding and Zara Larsson, it looks like Ashley Tisdale’s long awaited comeback also doesn’t do as good as initially expected, as “Voices In My Head” already goes down 7-15 in its second week. Eleni Foureira’s “Tómame” also leaves the Top10 in its fourth week (10-14). Even though he already collected several more hits after hits breakthrough song “Faded”, Alan Walker didn’t get a certification ever since. “Diamond Heart” breaks that curse now as it goes Gold (15-21). Last but not least, apart from the normal up’s and down’s, one song which leaves the Top40 completely is worth a mention and that’s “Ra” by Inna. The track debuted at #27 a week ago and already falls out this time, making it not only her first song to miss the Top10 but also her weakest charts performance ever by far.

“The Reckoning” by Within Temptation is the biggest climber while Cardi B’s “Money” drops 23-39 as the biggest loser this week.

My Charts - week 47/2018 – 22 november 2018 - Raise Your Banner

    Album Top20

Spoiler:
Ariana Grande’s “Sweetener” is able to climb up one spot and tops the album charts for a fourth non-consecutive week, tying Bebe Rexha’s “Expectations” and Leaves Eyes’ “Sign Of The Dragonhead” as the longest running number one albums of the year and also becoming Ariana’s longest running album ever. It’s charting for its 14th week and never left the Top5 so far. Its closest rivals were Amaranthe’s “Helix”, which spends a fifth week in the Top3 (3-2) and last weeks chart topper “Origins” by Imagine Dragons (1-3).

It wasn’t the busiest week on the Singles Top40 and it’s a similar case on the Album Top20 as just two new arrivals made it onto the charts this week, though the main attention probably lies on four re-entries, as several albums are back due to a long awaited announcement and two early concert effects. The former is the announcement of the upcoming new album "Shadow Works" by Estonian singer-songwriter Kerli. The singer is known for being unlucky with her releases, as several records got scrapped following several leaks, and once the stuff didn't leak, it still got delayed for ages. In early 2016, Kerli prepared the release of her new album with three singles, and even if the three singles came out, the album never did. But now it's finally time, as "Shadow Works" is set to be released on the 22nd February 2019, with its first single "Savages" coming out in just eight days! This announcement brings her second album "Utopia" back to #14.

The two early concert effects are the ones for symphonic metal pioneers Within Temptation and Nightwish. The concert for the former was held just yesterday but its full effect will be seen next week, while the concert of the latter will be today and will have an effect on next week as well. Considering both artists already had huge boosts following their past concerts, next week may be very interesting to watch. As for now, Within Temptation are back with "Hydra" (#13) and "Let Us Burn" (#18) with Nightwish coming back with "Decades" (#16).

New entries this week: British pop girl group Little Mix have released their fifth studio album simply called “LM5”. It enters the charts at #4, which is a spot lower than the peak of their previous and only entry so far for “Glory Days”. It’s a similar situation for legend Mariah Carey, as her only entry so far peaked at #3 with “Merry Christmas”, and she enters the charts a bit lower with her new set “Caution” (#5). Shockingly, none of her previous proper studio albums made an appearance so far, so this debut is rather good.

Other talking points this week: Benjamin Ingrosso’s “Identification” jumps 12-7 and re-peaks. David Guetta’s “7” also climbs back into the upper half due to the success of its single “Say My Name” (13-9). Lady Gaga’s and Bradley Cooper’s soundtrack for ‘A Star Is Born’ already drops 10-17 but goes Gold this week.

Tansike wrote:Well, Swiss-German is very similar to German and Germans probably see it as dialect but for me it’s a language on its own.

I already got Let’s Go Pikachu on Saturday and took some time to play it on Sunday, but just an hour, so I’m not far at all. I watched some videos before buying it and they looked amazing. It’s so cool to have this on a big screen now and being able to go through everything like that. But I got two negative points: First it’s basically the 1st Gen so it’s been played several times and there’s not a lot to discover, so I’m afraid I’ll be bored rather quickly, and second I’m not used yet to the new system of catching new Pokémon. I guess I just need to warm up on this as I’ve never been a big fan of ‘Go’. Since i'll be at home for two weeks soon I will most likely dive much more into this. How far are you now if I may ask?
So it's certainly still worth preserving, and it sounds like you take pride in using it too. A meaningful part of your heritage, identity, etc.

Nice! I'm excited to hear that you picked it up, since I thought all the negative reactions from fans online and the fact that you were just playing Yellow earlier this year might deter you (at least for now). Regarding the new catching method, it seems to be a LOT easier when you use the Switch in handheld mode (though you lose the experience of playing on a big screen that way). I just beat Misty yesterday and started catching some Pokémon on Route 5. I'm having a lot of fun with the new catching style (the catch combos make it especially addictive), and seeing wild Pokémon running around the overworld REALLY brings Kanto to life…but I don't feel as connected to my main team when they're constantly leveling up without ever actually using them in battle. There's definitely more Trainers in the early areas than RBY, but they still only have 1-2 weak Pokémon each, so not many teammates get to enjoy screen-time in battles. I knew that Abilities and held items were removed, but I didn't expect them to take so many moves out of the game as well. So yeah...I don't understand some of the decisions they made in crafting these "remakes," but I'm absolutely still enjoying it overall! Gen I nostalgia helps, for sure, but I think it's a genuinely enjoyable gaming experience in its own right too.

Tansike wrote:Yes. There’s not a thing I’d call sexy and it counts for every man, there’s more… either it ‘clicks’ or it doesn’t. However, face is a very important thing for me, as a man can have the sexiest body ever but with a face that doesn’t attract me it means nothing to me. Also, my special taste is even more special as I can find someone very sexy today and don’t find him sexy at all the next day, which is kinda weird too
Amen to that! I mean, amazing abs are always gonna have SOME impact on me...but the effect really isn't the same if you have to put a bag over his head to enjoy them.

Damn @ you being so fickle, though  Granted, I guess that means you might join me on #teamtyler someday... ;)

Tansike wrote:Anyways, I just got some green stuff for myself a week and a half ago and even though I have the chance to take it every evening I still have sleeping problems, so in fact it’s actually not helping as much as I expected. I’m able to fall asleep good but wake up in the middle of the night and can’t sleep anymore after that :x
Sh*t :x That's so disappointing (and frustrating). Why is a little relief so hard to find sometimes? I hate when our own bodies insist on working/fighting against us despite our best efforts. **Hug**

Tansike wrote:The thing is, my ex partner even works there, but he started after this all happened. He saw some documents about me and it really seemed like something didn’t go the way it should have, but they seemed to blame me being too nervous etc. but I guess it was just like a vicious circle as it’s obvious how I’m getting more nervous if I have pain etc. so it only gets worse and so on…

Thanks! It’s on the 26th, so next Monday. I’m starting to get REALLY nervous about it, also because there are some things that worry me like I shouldn’t smoke for two weeks after the surgery, already having several appointments for checks with the first one being the day after the surgery at 10am, so I won’t be able to rest at all  Anyways, if you keep your posting pattern then this means I’m already really looking forward to read your reply to this as it will be over by then (or i'm looking forward to it even more than usual  )
And these medical professionals have the nerve to blame YOU? For being NERVOUS? ABOUT AN OPERATION?!?!

Any rate, hopefully today's procedure went MUCH better and you're relaxing somewhere right now (playing Let's Go) ;) Or getting a sponge bath from your man...

Tansike wrote:Lol at “Moonlight”. I saw how you saved it in every round and it wasn’t a song which people dislike, so no one really voted it out which is why it went so far. I thought “Let Me Love You” made a similar experience – I can’t imagine it being SO popular among her other strong songs. I think “God Is A Woman” still did fantastic, but I expected it to win the “Sweetener” survivor as it was more popular in every round than “No Tears”, while both of these singles probably benefitted a lot in the Artist Survivor for still being so fresh. I don’t think they would be that popular in let’s say five years. I agree about “Yours Truly” but apart from the US it wasn’t a hit at all, so I can see why its songs didn’t do well.

Do you have a personal Top5 (or so) when it comes to Ariana? As for right now, mine would be “No Tears”, “Break Free”, “God Is A Woman”, “Into You” and “One Last Time” in no particular order, so in the end I’m more than happy with the final survivor results :)
Agreed!

HmMmMm...I'm SO indecisive when it comes to rankings (which is partially why I rely on play counts for my personal chart) I'll probably want to revise this in an hour or two, but I'll say:

1.) "Moonlight"
2.) "Into You"
3.) "The Way"
4.) "Honeymoon Avenue"
5.) "Break Free"

It's a VERY tight race, though, so that exact order can fluctuate a lot based on my state of mind (and there's still so many other gems that I wish I could include, like "One Last Time," "Problem," "Love Me Harder," "Breathin"...)

Tansike wrote:Wait, you can read my mind? :o
;) ;) ;)

My skills get sharper with each week that I comment here...

Tansike wrote:Honestly, I thought “Brave” and especially “Love Song” made short appearances on my charts so I was shocked by myself when I found out “Armor” was her very first notation here. How did you enjoy “The Blessed Unrest”? I always wanted to check her out much more than I did, so I’m glad I’ll finally be able to do so with Apple Music now.
It was very hit-or-miss for me (half the tracks have 30+ plays each, while the other half have less than 10 plays each) The strong moments were enjoyable enough to make me glad I gave the whole album a chance, though.

Tansike wrote:2018 is Ariana’s year! The track has much more to offer than expected, the lyrics are so, so good! Funny thing is how I played this to my partner when it came out and he thought it’s kinda boring, and on the weekend he listened to it again and was shocked how good it actually is, especially the lyrics and I was like ‘told ya -.-‘
:o It even has the power to impress your man (who usually dismisses mainstream stuff, right?) Further proof that Ari's really tapped into something extra-special with this one!

Tansike wrote::lol: It really is a trip! Glad you checked it out, I knew you’d be interested in it as it features Grimes. She was the main reason why I checked “Play Destroy” out and it turned out so interesting in a positive way that I even checked out the whole album. There are some other great songs, such as ”Aristocrat”. I think you may enjoy a few songs since it’s quite similar to what Grimes did on “Art Angels”.
Yeah, even before checking out "Play Destroy," I got the impression that Poppy's somewhat similar to Grimes (so it seemed especially fitting that they teamed up for a track). Many thanks for the suggestion! Garibay actually collaborated with Kylie on a couple EPs, so apparently Poppy's got connections to quite a few artists I know (and like).

Tansike wrote:“Love Made Me Do It” is just her third appearance here:
Fight For This Love: *1*-4-8-Out-RE 10-Out / 4w
Crazy Stupid Love: 37-Out / 1w

It looks like her songs need to have ‘love’ in their titles to enter my charts
So from what I’m hearing you’re usually enjoying Cheryl’s music, do you?
Ah, so she had quite the dry spell between "Fight For This Love" and "Crazy Stupid Love" :o Ha, yeah, I've loved a lot of her solo stuff. I was going to post some of her Paulboard chart history here, but even if I only included her Top 5's, there's still 17 of those.

Tansike wrote:“Party For One” simply didn’t click with me as I was hoping for :(
So that are three flops in a row for Zara, Ellie and Carly… and it looks like Ashley Tisdale may follow a similar path as well. Four pop girls who used to SLAY my charts and now this
I guess Ari's the only one who can still get things right in 2018  Though "Party For One" still works for me.

• A friend of a friend put on a playlist while prepping Thanksgiving dinner that included Linsdey, "365," and I'm pretty sure some Within Temptation too, so I was obviously thinking of you the whole time <3 It really felt like you'd catered it yourself!
• So there's finally a release date for Kerli's next album, AND a lead single dropping in the very near future?!?! HYPE! Hopefully she'll be the one to redeem the pop girls after Ellie, Hailee, Carly, Ashley, etc. ;)
• Obviously loving that Top 5 debut for Caution! Not gonna lie, when I first heard the full album, I was a little worried/disappointed about it being your very first Mariah album experience  It's definitely cohesive, but if that brand of mid-tempo R&B isn't quite your style, the cohesiveness of the album can work against it. I'm still sorting through my feelings about it overall, but I'm really glad it did something for you! Were there any standout tracks besides the singles/pre-release songs?

Yet another uplifting chart, Tansike! :D

11 (NEW) Blanche – Moment
Chart Run: *11*- / 1w

I don't know, it seems to tick all the necessary boxes, but still doesn't work for me.

Sadly, I have been very busy lately (still am) but I just want to sneak in and tell you that your Top 2 is excellent!

A pity I missed the opportunity to update my Top 5 so that WT would have got a bigger boost on the UkmixParade.

Glad "RYB" is #1 <3 - So excited for Lena's new album, too

phoenix98 wrote:Nice!
Well, picking it up was always a sure thing, playing it is another though. But as a fan it was clear that I need that game in my collection as well. Having played Yellow earlier this year definitely wasn't the best idea though as Let's Go seems very repetitive now. The part about connecting with your team is a thing many people seem to have from what I read online; you basically only need your Starter to play through the whole game. But I think it's that way to get new players as well, as new players were probably overwhelmed by everything with the last few editions.

I haven't played more yet btw but I hope I'll be able to do so soon, depending on how I feel obviously. Already being at the computer and writing this whole replay was kinda exhausting as I had to take several breaks & going back to bed before finishing it...

Can't wait to get a new update from your game soon

phoenix98 wrote:Amen to that! I mean, amazing abs are always gonna have SOME impact on me...but the effect really isn't the same if you have to put a bag over his head to enjoy them.

Damn @ you being so fickle, though  Granted, I guess that means you might join me on #teamtyler someday... ;)
True!

Haha... yeah, it actually may happen one day

phoenix98 wrote:Sh*t :x That's so disappointing (and frustrating). Why is a little relief so hard to find sometimes? I hate when our own bodies insist on working/fighting against us despite our best efforts. **Hug**
Interestingly someone who worked in a medical environment and didn't know about my sleeping problems just told me that my nose surgery may help a lot when it comes to sleep, as the air circulates much better through my body afterwards, so maybe there lies the main problem with my sleeping problems. But there are probably also several other things I could optimize to get better sleep...

phoenix98 wrote:And these medical professionals have the nerve to blame YOU? For being NERVOUS? ABOUT AN OPERATION?!?!

Any rate, hopefully today's procedure went MUCH better and you're relaxing somewhere right now (playing Let's Go) ;) Or getting a sponge bath from your man...
To their defense, I was very nervous and even had panic attacks.
But I had the same this week and they gave me some medicine to cool down (and I even fell asleep after that) so back then they definitely could've handled it better.

Thanks!
The whole thing went pretty well. Well, they didn't plan it well and I had to wait for six hours instead of 1-2 hours which was also the reason why I started to get panic attacks. Waiting is probably the worst thing, especially when someone already experienced some bad things. But once I got a medicine against these attacks I fell asleep... they woke me up later for the surgery and one second after taking the first breath of the anesthesia I already was away and the next thing I remember was that I arrived in my room.
Thankfully I don't have pain at all and my doctor was surprised at how good I look as you see nothing on my face except my nose which is just a little bit swollen. It was expected to have a bruises on the face... but i'm glad that's not the case. Even though I have no pain it still feels VERY uncomfortable. My nose is always blocked and therefor I'm having a pressure in my head all the time which is VERY annoying when drinking or eating and it gives me non-stop headache. Also, i'm completely demotivated in doing a thing at all as my battery currently seems at like 10%.
Yesterday I made a short visitation at my doctor and he cleaned my nose as good as possible so I could 'try it out' and I only realized how bad my breathing problems actually were as I was able to breath through my nose and it felt so... strange. I had no idea breathing through the nose would be like that... so i'm very excited when it's all recovered.

phoenix98 wrote:HmMmMm...I'm SO indecisive when it comes to rankings (which is partially why I rely on play counts for my personal chart) I'll probably want to revise this in an hour or two, but I'll say:

1.) "Moonlight"
2.) "Into You"
3.) "The Way"
4.) "Honeymoon Avenue"
5.) "Break Free"

It's a VERY tight race, though, so that exact order can fluctuate a lot based on my state of mind (and there's still so many other gems that I wish I could include, like "One Last Time," "Problem," "Love Me Harder," "Breathin"...)
That's a fantastic Top5! So we share two songs in our Top5 with "Into You" and "Break Free". I'm not surprised you didn't include the "Sweetener" songs, while "The Way" is VERY close to my Top5. Also glad to hear "One Last Time" is close to yours 8-) The Artist Survivor only made me realize how many gems she already released in just five and a half years and I love how her star power keeps on growing and growing. Even though "thank u, next" is probably not even in my Top10 tracks from her I'm still so freaking excited for the video release!

phoenix98 wrote:It was very hit-or-miss for me (half the tracks have 30+ plays each, while the other half have less than 10 plays each) The strong moments were enjoyable enough to make me glad I gave the whole album a chance, though.
Oh wow, very interesting to see such a gap in plays between one half and the other. Does it happen often that you're having such a mixed feeling about an album? Personally, I can't remember an album having a similar impact on me with one half being played so often and the other half barely not at all... but that's probably also because I rarely play albums not from start to finish.

phoenix98 wrote: :o It even has the power to impress your man (who usually dismisses mainstream stuff, right?) Further proof that Ari's really tapped into something extra-special with this one!
Haha, true!

phoenix98 wrote:Yeah, even before checking out "Play Destroy," I got the impression that Poppy's somewhat similar to Grimes (so it seemed especially fitting that they teamed up for a track). Many thanks for the suggestion! Garibay actually collaborated with Kylie on a couple EPs, so apparently Poppy's got connections to quite a few artists I know (and like).
So glad you enjoy it! Yes, Poppy seems to have some good connections in the business, as there's also a collaboration with Diplo on her album.
And speaking of Grimes, she's releasing new music tomorrow :o I'm really excited for that one and fingers crossed it's as awesome as "Play Destroy" and the "Art Angels" stuff <3

phoenix98 wrote:Ah, so she had quite the dry spell between "Fight For This Love" and "Crazy Stupid Love" :o Ha, yeah, I've loved a lot of her solo stuff. I was going to post some of her Paulboard chart history here, but even if I only included her Top 5's, there's still 17 of those.
To be fair, there was a long time when I didn't really check out stuff that I didn't buy digitally or physically, which explains this dry between "Fight For This Love" and "Crazy Stupid Love". I'm not familiar at all with her songs between these two releases to be honest with you even though I feel like I would've loved a few of them
Ok, so this means she's another artist I have to check out :P

phoenix98 wrote:I guess Ari's the only one who can still get things right in 2018  Though "Party For One" still works for me.
Glad to hear Carly's song still works for you. Surprisingly, the ones by Ellie and Zara keep on appearing in my mind lately, so I'll probably revisit them soon...

Oh wow, this sounds like a very good friend of a friend  Aww... <3 I find it amazing how he put on a playlist like this though because I could never do that. I still don't play this kind of music that often or loud in my car when my partner is there for example. I don't even know why...

I know  It's coming out so soon which is completely unexpected. I hope so too. I know Kerli always gets a smash with her songs on my charts but I thought the same about some of the other pop girls, especially Ashley Tisdale or Ellie Goulding, so this really shows that if a song by an artist I usually love doesn't click with me, it still ends up as a flop even though I love that artist so much.

Obviously no surprise you like that debut for "Caution". Unfortunately, it will have a terrible second week drop. Not because it's making a weaker impression on me now, but because there were TWO concerts last week which will affect my charts tomorrow. As for the album, I like that it flows so well as a whole, and "A No No", the title track but also "Portrait" made a very good impression on me. I have yet to check out your latest charts but i'll do so tomorrow or on Friday, so I'm excited to find out which songs are your favorite ones.

In other news, I already listened to "Daydream", "Butterfly" AND "The Emancipation Of Mimi" once yesterday. There were some standouts on all albums which made a great impression on me but I need another spin to get to know which songs these standouts were, as I was playing them on my computer in my room while I was lying in the bed to rest... that was a great experience to listen to these albums without knowing how long they are, how the songs are called etc. (except for obvious hits like "We Belong Together" or "Get Your Number", which btw also was a big standout to me). From what I remember both standouts on "Daydream" and "Butterfly" were close to the end though, while both openers also made a great impression...

My Charts - week 48/2018 – 29 november 2018 - double concert effect
.
    Singles Top40
    Image Image Image
Spoiler:
It’s been a while since the last concert effect made its impact on the charts, and this week it even happens for the very first time two concert effects are happening on the same week following the concerts by symphonic metal pioneers Within Temptation and Nightwish. Coincidentally, both artists visited Switzerland on their World Tours back to back, with Within Temptation having performed on Wednesday and Nightwish on Thursday last week. Both artists didn’t do a normal tour though, as Within Temptation toured for an album which hasn’t even been released yet while Nightwish did a best of show mostly containing album tracks, so the former doesn’t have the same effect on the album charts as usual while the latter only have a small effect on the Singles Top40. In addition to that, Within Temptation also released the third single of their upcoming album “Resist” called “Firelight”. The track wasn’t performed at their concert but still debuts right atop the charts, becoming their eighth number one hit. The previous two singles “Raise Your Banner” (1-3) and “The Reckoning” (7-2) were performed and complete the Top3 this week, with “The Reckoning” even going Platinum this week.

Other entries due to concert effects: “Paradise (What About Us?)” with Tarja (#5), “Faster” (#12), “What Have You Done” (#18), “Stand My Ground” (#22) and “Mother Earth” (#27) are successful re-entries for Within Temptation this week. They also have two new entries with the ballads “Forgiven” (#7) and “All I Need” (#13) as both of them were released prior My Charts started and weren’t performed on their last tour in early 2014. As mentioned, the concert effect on the singles charts is much smaller for fellow symphonic metal band Nightwish, as they have one new entry with “Sacrament Of Wilderness” (#11) and three re-entries with “Élan” (#24), “Nemo” (#25) and “Wish I Had An Angel” (#30).

Other new and re-entries this week: Following the number one hit “I Wonder As I Wander” (9-10), Lindsey Stirling has picked the next single of her Christmas album “Warmer In The Winter” and it’s “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” featuring Sabrina Carpenter. The song starts at #4 as the only song not by Within Temptation in the Top5. Rita Ora benefits from the release of her long awaited second set “Phoenix” and owns two re-entries with “Anywhere” (#14) and “Let You Love Me” (#17). Last but not least, shooting star Billie Eilish returns to #38 with “When The Party’s Over”.

Other talking points this week: Despite the concert effects and all other things that are going on, Ariana Grande’s “God Is A Woman” remains incredibly stable in the Top10 for yet another week (8-8). Other than that, there are obviously lots of big drops, though two are the most shocking ones. The first one is Lena’s “Thank You”, which nearly made it to the top a week ago and already tumbles down 2-21 this time. The other one is Ashley Tisdale’s comeback hit “Voices In My Head”, which drops 15-36 in its third week.

“The Reckoning” by Within Temptation is the biggest climber while Blanche’s “Moment” descends 11-39 as the biggest loser this week.

My Charts - week 48/2018 – 29 november 2018 - double concert effect
.
    Album Top20
    Image Image Image
Spoiler:
The two concert effects also have a huge impact on the Album Top20 and that one is probably even bigger than on the Singles Top40, as Within Temptation own five entries while Nightwish have seven. As mentioned on the Singles Top40, Within Temptation toured for an album which hasn’t been released yet, otherwise they would’ve been easily atop the charts this week. However, their highest entry is “The Heart Of Everything”, which was originally released in 2007 and returns to #3 this week – a new peak! Their latest album “Hydra” moves 13-4 and gets certified with 4x Platinum, “The Unforgiving” is back at #9, “Mother Earth” re-enters at #11 and “The Silent Force” comes back at #14. Surprisingly, their live release “Let Us Burn” already made a little comeback a week ago (#18) but leaves the Top20 this time while lead singer Sharon den Adel’s solo project “My Indigo” also leaves the charts this time after 31 consecutive weeks. Apart from “The Heart Of Everything”, “Mother Earth” (2000) and “The Silent Force” (2004) were also released before My Charts even existed.

Other entries due to concert effects: While Within Temptation toured for a yet-to-be-released album, Nightwish made a best of tour following the release of the compilation “Decades” earlier this year, so it’s rather unsurprising to see that set jumping 16-2. Their other entries are: “Wishmaster” (#7), “Oceanborn” (#8), “Century Child” (#12), “Imaginaerum” (#15), “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” (#16) and “Dark Passion Play” (#18). All but “Imaginaerum” and “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” were released prior the album charts started and only made their entries due to concert effects or other events. These two albums also topped the charts for ten weeks each, making Nightwish the only artist so far with two albums with two-digit number of weeks atop the charts.

Other new entries this week: Between all these re-entries and increases due to concert effects, there was one new release which still was strong enough to beat them all and debut right atop the charts: “Phoenix”, the long awaited second studio album by Rita Ora! The set spawned successful hits such as “Your Song”, “Anywhere” or the recent “Let You Love Me” and turned out as strong as expected, so it doesn’t just become Rita’s very first notation ever, but instantly also her first top album.

Other talking points this week: Amaranthe’s “Helix” drops 2-6 but goes Gold this week. As expected, there are several big drops such as Poppy’s “Am I A Girl?” (6-17) or Mariah Carey’s “Caution” (5-19), but with Benjamin Ingrosso’s “Identification” (#7), Muse’s “Simulation Theory” (#8) and Olly Murs’ “You Know I Know” (#10) there are even three albums from last weeks Top10 which leave the Top20 completely this time.

Lots of stuff from Within Temptation + a new Lindsey Stirling song - I'll check some of these ones out later.

Great to see "God Is a Woman" doing so well. How far away is it from double-platinum status? Also, I've been obsessed with "Baby" this past week.

I can't answer this question yet. It'll be answered by the end of this month, though.

I hope you will enjoy the ones you'll check out :)

I won't give away that yet because otherwise it could give away too many informations about my upcoming Year-End Charts.
Glad to hear this about "Baby" - I'm still hoping it becomes a hit for them. It's so unfair how Marina is finally officially featured on one of their singles and it's not an instant hit like their previous songs :(

Tansike wrote:I haven't played more yet btw but I hope I'll be able to do so soon, depending on how I feel obviously. Already being at the computer and writing this whole replay was kinda exhausting as I had to take several breaks & going back to bed before finishing it...

Can't wait to get a new update from your game soon
Hopefully you're back to your usual strapping self now <3 Or at least feeling well enough to play more Let's Go ;) I guess one perk to having played Yellow so recently is that you'll be able to instantly notice any differences in these "remakes" and provide an interesting side-by-side comparison.

I've made it to Lavender Town/Lavandia, but got a bit side-tracked by some shiny hunting in Rock Tunnel/Felstunnel  I kept seeing posts/videos about people's successful shiny hunts, and it does feel easier/more fun in these games, since the Pokémon models are shiny in the overworld (and you can check a bunch at once just by looking around an area). I decided to track down a shiny Rhyhorn, and randomly found a shiny Charmander/Glumanda during the search! Once they're leveled-up to match the rest of my main team, I'll actually get back to the story again...

Tansike wrote:Interestingly someone who worked in a medical environment and didn't know about my sleeping problems just told me that my nose surgery may help a lot when it comes to sleep, as the air circulates much better through my body afterwards, so maybe there lies the main problem with my sleeping problems. But there are probably also several other things I could optimize to get better sleep...
Interesting! I hadn't thought about that, but it makes a lot of sense: easier to breathe = easier to sleep. Hopefully it proves true for you!

Tansike wrote:To their defense, I was very nervous and even had panic attacks.

**Hug** I didn't know you've experienced panic attacks. Do they happen from time-to-time, or only during these super-stressful operations? Waiting can DEFINITELY be the hardest part, since it just gives you more and more time to think about the worst case scenarios, everything that might go wrong, etc. All the scariest thoughts swirling in your head for hour...after hour...after hour :x Your doctor liked how good you looked, eh...? ;) Congrats on finally being able to breathe! That's certainly something most of us take for granted every day. Is it feeling even more clear/easier now, a week or so later? Now's the perfect time to put "Breathin" on repeat!

Tansike wrote:That's a fantastic Top5!
Glad you think so 8-) I totally agree about her being on such a roll/getting off to such a strong start with these first four albums! She's really been one of the most consistent popstars of the 2010's (at least among the ones whose albums I've heard in full, along with Tay + Carly Rae, though Tay did slip a bit with reputation...)

Tansike wrote:Oh wow, very interesting to see such a gap in plays between one half and the other. Does it happen often that you're having such a mixed feeling about an album? Personally, I can't remember an album having a similar impact on me with one half being played so often and the other half barely not at all... but that's probably also because I rarely play albums not from start to finish.
Ooh...interesting question! It's definitely rare to have a near-perfect 50/50 split on an album between tracks that really click with me and tracks that don't really click at all. reputation was more like 70/30.

Tansike wrote:So glad you enjoy it!
Sadly, there's been some drama/bad blood between Poppy and Grimes lately, which was such a downer to read :x It makes it a little harder to enjoy the track knowing that they came away from the experience really disliking each other. They seem like such a good match musically/artistically.

Tansike wrote:Glad to hear Carly's song still works for you. Surprisingly, the ones by Ellie and Zara keep on appearing in my mind lately, so I'll probably revisit them soon...
They've both been gaining traction in the UK lately (both inside the official Top 20 now), so you're not alone there!

Tansike wrote:Oh wow, this sounds like a very good friend of a friend  Aww... <3 I find it amazing how he put on a playlist like this though because I could never do that. I still don't play this kind of music that often or loud in my car when my partner is there for example. I don't even know why...
Aw, I'm surprised to learn you're shy about sharing your music tastes - though I guess that's a part of what makes UKMIX appealing, since it's the perfect place to do that. Now, whether or not your man will be able to stand whatever you put on is a different story...

Tansike wrote:Obviously no surprise you like that debut for "Caution".

RIP Caution  but it's gotten over-shadowed pretty quickly for me too  Rita's album came out the week after, and now The 1975's has dropped too. I'm definitely not done with Caution yet, but it had to step aside so I can delve into these other highly-anticipated albums.

YES! SO glad you got around to all three of those classics <3 <3 <3 No rush/pressure, but I'd obviously love to hear which tracks wound up being the standouts. Sounds like she's managed to hook you with her closers, since you mentioned "Portrait" sticking out to you too. Most importantly - it doesn't sound like it was too painful/regrettable making it all the way through those LPs!

• I like how "Firelight" has a somewhat softer/gentler, more...ballad-y feel to it. The instruments still pack a real punch at times (especially during the chorus), but the vocal delivery from the two main singers feels pretty...soothing. How were the concerts? Did your man come along for either?
• Another stunning, striking, entertaining video from Lindsey! She seriously needs to start directing/producing/consulting for other artists' videos.
• Lovin' the Phoenix re-entries and that No. 1 debut for the album itself! Did ORA ever chart? I never checked it out myself.
• Poor "Bad Liar" suffered a pretty bad fall.

Yet another chart that burns bright, Tansike! :D

Thank you. Unfortunately, I didn't play at all yet :( I realized there are still so many other things to do plus I also need lots of time for doing nothing. I'm currently spending my days in doing things from my to-do-list and doing 1-2 hours breaks between that where I just lie in my bed and do nothing (except sleeping or playing games with my iPhone) so my nose (or basically my body) can recover. There was so much I didn't do in the last two years and a 'break' like I have now is good to catch up a few things even though my current break should only be for recovering, obviously. So I currently have no time for playing 'Let's Go'... :(

Wow, that's already quite far! Can you estimate how many hours you've played so far? Because the game seems quite easy and I wonder if it's really that easy, so if one also goes through everything quickly or not. Woah about the shiny Charmander, that's cool! I didn't know catching shiny Pokémon is easier there but it must look awesome seeing a shiny Pokémon walking by... but so you got your shiny Rhyhorn as well?

phoenix98 wrote:Interesting! I hadn't thought about that, but it makes a lot of sense: easier to breathe = easier to sleep. Hopefully it proves true for you!
I hope so, too! It's currently worse than before but since I don't have to work at the moment it's not as exhausting as before...

phoenix98 wrote:**Hug** I didn't know you've experienced panic attacks. Do they happen from time-to-time, or only during these super-stressful operations? Oh no, they just happened before the surgery and 2-3 times in the past as well, just during very emotionally stressful moments. Yes, that's what freaked me out, especially because I was afraid of that anyway so having to wait for six hours instead of 1-2 hours is terrible. Haha... I think you know what i meant :P Because the other thing would be very unrealistic as I'd say he's more one of the people who aren't the biggest 'fans' of us  Thanks, it was just for a short moment though and currently my nose still doesn't work the way it should, but that's normal. On Sunday, my sense of smell came back shortly and appears every now and then again since then, and my doctor said that's actually very early and quite unusual to have it back so soon. So actually no, it doesn't feel more clear/easier now. But I still have to 'clean' my nose 2-5 times a day and put some ointment (I hope that's the correct word; never used that before and just had to look it up  ) into it so if i smell something it's often that and breathing isn't possible that way.
Ha, "Breathin" really suits for the moment, didn't even think about it yet

phoenix98 wrote:Glad you think so 8-) I totally agree about her being on such a roll/getting off to such a strong start with these first four albums! True!! And she's also constantly successful, which isn't easy to achieve for pop girls these days.
Speaking about Ariana, I'm really wondering what happened to the "thank u, next" album. I really thought it would be out by now as she said it's still coming in 2018

phoenix98 wrote:Ooh...interesting question! It's definitely rare to have a near-perfect 50/50 split on an album between tracks that really click with me and tracks that don't really click at all. reputation was more like 70/30.
"Reputation" is such a good example here!

Read about that case just yesterday and I'm shocked. I mean, Poppy basically says Grimes is fake, but reading a bit more into Poppy's story and who is behind her I think she may be the fake person, so no idea what to think about now. Also, it seemed like Poppy was featured on "We Appreciate Power" at first, which would have been so cool to have two Poppy/Grimes collaborations out at the same time and they're both awesome. Anyways, both (or especially Grimes) create great music so I'm not reading more into that story for now and just enjoy their music. Sometimes gossip like that could destroy music from artists for me and I really don't want that here, especially with Grimes' music.

phoenix98 wrote:They've both been gaining traction in the UK lately (both inside the official Top 20 now), so you're not alone there!
I saw that and even though the songs still aren't my favorite ones, I'm still so happy for the artists as I still love them and this means they'll stick to the release strategy. A big flop could have meant a delay of a possible album release like Meghan Trainor and I'm definitely not here for that.

phoenix98 wrote:Aw, I'm surprised to learn you're shy about sharing your music tastes - though I guess that's a part of what makes UKMIX appealing, since it's the perfect place to do that. Now, whether or not your man will be able to stand whatever you put on is a different story...
Yes, on UKMix it doesn't really matter what taste you have and I have to admit I'm shocked how 'well received' my taste seems to be, because I don't know many people who stan for bands like Within Temptation & Nightwish, know everything about the Pop divas and still being interested in other things too. As for my man, well, sometimes I listen to a few songs of that genre and he said he enjoys it as well, but I'm still reserved in playing that stuff regularly.

Don't worry, it's not completely over for "Caution" Ah yeah, I was shocked when i saw how fast your charts changed from a complete Mariah domination to that Rita slayage. Not that I would complain, obviously, but it's still a surprise. But I guess the chances for some longevity for some of the "Caution" tracks may be high while these Rita/1975's songs may drop faster...

I keep you updated! The last few days were busy (hell, I'm busy even being on sick leave  ) so I didn't re-play them yet. But as you say, it wasn't painful at all to make it through these three albums and I even listened to them back to back, the time went by so incredibly quickly and since my surgery it was actually the most relaxing time so far, just lying in my bed and listen to these three albums. They brought the perfect mood. And you know... there are these moments in life which aren't really something outstanding, but still different to usual and you will remember these moments for a very long time, and that moment (coming home from the surgery, enjoying being for myself/back home, listening to MC) will be one of them. Haven't had my pleasure in discovering something 'new' like that in AGES. So thanks a lot!

phoenix98 wrote:• I like how "Firelight" has a somewhat softer/gentler, more...ballad-y feel to it.

Thanks a lot for checking out my latest number one! Yes, "Firelight" is definitely not as hard as their other singles and I could even imagine this being played by radios. It's quite commercial and still sounds like Within Temptation, which is cool. The concerts were awesome, though both singers from both bands struggled a bit which was interesting as both are known for their awesome vocal deliveries. No, he didn't. I went to the Within Temptation concert with my mom and attended the Nightwish concert with my brother. My family also enjoys this music and since I moved out over eight years ago I didn't do much with them. That's also ok for us, but I still decided to ask them to come with me and also sleep at my place as they both didn't see it yet. Thanks for asking :)

Ha, so true! Very glad you're enjoying the "You're A Mean One" video. She really got a strong videography and she already released the next one  She's so productive!

Since Rita is slayyying your charts I'm not surprised to hear you're enjoying her re-entries and the debut for the album. Actually, it's the same with me when it comes to Rita; I've never heard her debut :o

Yes... Do you remember our little chat from a year ago? A Paloma Faith single didn't do that well (and someone else as well) and I told you there's always going on a lot towards the end of a year, and a few tracks may come back and smash (again) in the new year. It may be similar with Imagine Dragons' "Bad Liar" as I'm really liking it on one side, but there's just too much going on at the moment.

Thanks a lot :D

My Charts - week 49/2018 – 6 december 2018 - Nothing Breaks Like Kerli’s Heart
.
    Singles Top40

Spoiler:
Oh, what a week. It’s been ages since singer-songwriter Kerli, the most successful artist coming from Estonia, has released a new album. In fact, “Utopia” came out in early 2013 and there was no follow-up ever since. Recently, the so-called ‘Moon Mom’ has finally announced the release date of her eagerly awaited new album called “Shadow Works” for February 2019. Last Friday saw the release of its lead single “Savages” and the expectations were huge as she’s the artist with the second most number one hits ever with 14 – her whole discography! However, recently it became some kind of a phenomenon to see artists who used to get huge hits easily underperform, as new releases by Ashley Tisdale, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ellie Goulding and Zara Larsson or even the latest outputs by Lana Del Rey and Tarja didn’t do as well as expected or as well as these artists used to do. In the end, it may be the case that Kerli’s “Savage” goes under the second category, as the song only enters the charts at the rather shocking runner-up spot. Even though there’s still a chance to see it climbing up to the top, it’s very unlikely considering it’s expected to have Christmas songs smashing over the next few weeks, the Year-End Countdown boost in early January and then there’ll already be the follow-up to “Savages” in January as Kerli already has announced by herself.

It takes a lot to block Kerli and even though “Savages” gathered over 70 plays since its release – by far more than most of the recent number one songs – it still ended up as a clear battle, as the number one this week got nearly 90 plays last weekend alone and nearly 160 plays up to now, and that’s “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” by Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus, which is already one of the 20 most played tracks of the year now. Mark Ronson himself isn’t known as a charts smasher as “Nothing” is only his fourth entry to date, with just “Uptown Funk” being a real hit (#2 in 2014/2015, certified with Platinum), while Miley also went under the above mentioned ‘flop/underperforming category’ with her singles from her latest “Younger Now” album, but together they created magic and hands down one of the best videos of all time. It’s Miley’s 16th chart entry in total and 13th number one single. Coming in at the third place is yet another song that was a contender for the top spot at first, though it lost the battle by a big margin in the end: “We Appreciate Power”, the new single by Grimes featuring HANA. It’s Grimes’ third Top3 entry as a lead artist and fourth overall within less than three years.

Other new and re-entries this week: Only a week after “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” (4-7), Lindsey Stirling already debuts with the next single of her Christmas album called “Santa Baby” (#4). It’s a good week overall for the violinist, as “I Wonder As I Wander” gets certified with Gold (10-8) while “Carol Of The Bells” comes back at #25. German Schlager-Pop princess Vanessa Mai had one of the biggest hits during summer with “Wir 2 immer 1”, which gets its follow-up entry now as she has chosen “Niemals” as the second single of her latest album “Schlager”. The song starts at #13 as her seventh chart entry ever. One spot below is “Different World”, the new single by Norwegian DJ and producer Alan Walker including the artists K-391, Sofia Carson and CORSAK. It’s also his seventh chart entry ever and third this year, following the two #2 hits “Darkside” and “Diamond Heart” (33-34). 2018 was a good year for Nicki Minaj, as the rapper also owns a new entry in the upper half this week, which becomes her tenth chart entry this year alone. It’s “Good Form”, the new single from her latest album “Queen”, which arrives at #17 with a new remix featuring Lil Wayne.

While Rita Ora’s album release brought back two of her songs onto the charts a week ago, it’s a similar situation for Clean Bandit this week as the band has finally released their second album “What Is Love?” which brings back “Symphony” (#24) and “Solo” (#26). The former was the most successful single of 2017 while the latter was a huge hit this year. There’s a third entry for the band on the charts with “Baby” (15-12). As stated in previous weeks, 2018 seems to be a very good year for fellow artists from the Eurovision Song Contest, as there were many entries by them on the charts lately. This week it’s Loïc Nottet’s turn, as he debuts at #36 with the new single “On Fire”. Last but not least, Normani & 6LACK’s “Waves” makes a rather unexpected return to #37.

Other talking points this week: Concert effects used to have an immense impact on the weekly charts and last week also had several high entries from the two concerts by Nightwish and Within Temptation, but considering these two bands used to have the biggest concert effects ever in the past and considering they both use to score huge hits with their songs and albums, it’s quite eye-catching how fast some of their songs are already falling this time. Within Temptation have the advantage in having three current songs for their upcoming album, though these are also all falling this week with “Firelight” (1-5), “Raise Your Banner” (3-6) and “The Reckoning” (2-9). The former has the biggest drop from the top spot for the band ever, though this makes this week one of the very rare occasions where two artists have three entries in the Top10 (the other being Lindsey Stirling). The band’s other chart entries this week are: “Forgiven” (7-21), “Faster” (12-22), “Paradise (What About Us?)” (5-27), “All I Need” (13-28), “Stand My Ground” (22-29) and “What Have You Done” (18-39), with “Mother Earth” leaving the charts (ex #27). As for Nightwish, “Élan” (ex #24), “Nemo” (ex #25) and “Wish I Had An Angel” (ex #30) already leave the Top40 with just “Sacrament Of Wilderness” surviving a second week (11-38).

For the first time in months, Ariana Grande owns no entry in the Top10 this week, as “God Is A Woman” (8-11) and “Thank U, Next” (9-16) leave that territory. She still owns four entries in total though, as “Breathin” (20-18) and “No Tears Left To Cry” (29-31) are still on the charts as well and “Breathin” even gets certified with Gold.

Clean Bandit, Marina And The Diamonds & Luis Fonsi’s “Baby” is the biggest climber while Nightwish’s “Sacrament Of Wilderness” is the biggest loser this week.

    Album Top20

Spoiler:
Similar to Rita Ora’s “Phoenix” a week ago, there’s another British artist who debuts atop the charts this week with an album which already spawned hit singles over a year ago by an artist who hasn’t released an album in years: Clean Bandit. The trio has released many hits over the last few years, such as the Gold certified “Rockaybe” or “I Miss You”, the top hits “Solo” and “Disconnect” or “Symphony”, which topped the Year-End Charts 2017. Following all these hits, the band has finally released their long awaited second studio album called “What Is Love?”, which makes quite an obvious debut atop the charts. Their debut “New Eyes” debuted and peaked at #5 four and a half years ago, having spent just four weeks on the charts, so this is a huge improvement for them. Rita Ora’s “Phoenix” slips 1-2 followed by Ariana Grande’s “Sweetener” which climbs back up 5-3 for an impressive 16th consecutive week in the Top5.

Other new and re-entries this week: Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara has released her sophomore album “The Pains Of Growing”. Despite no real hit so far, the set enters the charts at #4, two spots higher than the peak of her debut album “Know-It-All” from nearly two years ago. Following its fall out of the Top20 a week ago, Lindsey Stirling makes a stellar return with “Warmer In The Winter”, as the Christmas / Winter album returns to #7. With its new single “Santa Baby” from this week and the addition of her song “Hallelujah” to its deluxe edition, the album already spawned seven entries on the Singles Top40. A third new entry just misses to make the upper half, and that’s “Woman Of The World”, the first best of compilation by Scottish singer-songwriter Amy MacDonald. The set arrives at #11, which is rather disappointing as her previous three releases all debuted atop the charts. Her only studio album not to peak at number one his her debut “This Is The Life”, but it came out prior My Charts started and would have been a number one album as well otherwise. Also back on the charts is My Indigo’s “My Indigo”, as it re-enters at #14.

Other talking points this week: The concert effects already wear off, so there are several climbers such as “Origins” by Imagine Dragons (10-5), “Am I A Girl?” by Poppy (17-13), “Caution” by Mariah Carey (19-16) and “7” by David Guetta (20-18). Meanwhile, the entries by Nightwish and Within Temptation have some big drops, except for “The Heart Of Everything” by the latter, which sees a surprisingly small decline this week (3-6).

^ Glad you're enjoying the verses! The song is surprisingly commercial, I expected something more 'alternative', like "Feral Hearts" or "Blossom". Even though I'm really liking it, I'm not as happy with it as I expected...

Also, the Eesti Laul songs have already been released so Estonia not only gave us new Kerli stuff, but once again supplied us with some cute songs in December. :)

I just need to worship your second to last chart update.
Seriously, that Top 3 was absolutely amazing. I am a bit disappointed I had no time to praise your excellent taste in music earlier this week!
I am glad you enjoyed both concerts! What a great week it must have been!

Btw, it's interesting that "The Heart Of Everything" re-entered your album chart at #3! - Even though I have always loved that album, I think that learning about this tour's setlist and attending their concert in Warszawa made me love it even more. The title song has become one of my favourite songs ever and I listen to it on a daily basis atm. The other tracks they performed on tour are stunning, too!

When it comes to your new chart.... Another flawless #1. It's crazy that "Nothing Breaks Like A Heart" blocked Kerli from being number-one. I seriously believe that it's one of Miley's best singles to date. Loved it straight from the beginning but it's been growin' on me ever since.

The Lena "Thank you" drop is worrying, though!!! - But I agree with you.. even though I don't think the song is bad or average, it basically has no replay value for me. I hope that the other tracks on the album will be more interesting and less "generic" in terms of production (even though the song still sounds fresh and modern).

I'm guessing you're enjoying some of the Eesti Laul songs more than Kerli's "Savages", right? I'm excited for Estonia's choice this year, they are often one of my favorite countries on the contest :)

I'm guessing you're enjoying some of the Eesti Laul songs more than Kerli's "Savages", right? I'm excited for Estonia's choice this year, they are often one of my favorite countries on the contest :)
I am thinking that Kerli could have been a contender this year with ''Savages''. It will be featured in my personal chart for sure.

"Savages" would have had a chance to win Eesti Laul easily this year.
