at this point, This is basically Katy's ARTPOP. The Swish Swish Video might've done better if it dropped somewhere around the end of June just after the album and the hype around it was more instead of August where it was pretty much completely overshadowed by Taylor dropping LWYMMD and it's video that weekend.
Like ARTPOP there seems to be an uncertainty to what the next single will be and they're shuffling through options with no real push, (Save As Draft, Hey Hey Hey) whilst Roulette is just sitting there glaring obvious as the fan fave.
Just finish the Witness tour, Do the American Idol thing, and come back in mid 2019 with something maybe. Releasing Roulette off the back of her American Idol slot early next year might do something to close the era (live shows usually start around end of February/start of March by past seasons right), but yeah. I don't mind Hey Hey Hey, but the overall handling of this era could've been done a bit differently perhaps IMO.
