She was very proud,” Griffith said. “She wanted to drain the swamp. She voted straight-ticket Republican. She was very happy. She kept saying she finally got to vote.
Yikes at this old hag making sure to ruin younger generations just before croaking.

She must have suspected she was near the end and was bitter about it, so she voted Republican to take us all down with her.

Idiot. It took her decades to figure out that you should cast a vote if you want to be heard?

I can only see two possible explanations:
a. Trump's GOP cult finally gave her something to vote for.
b. she lived in a district where voting didn't matter due to the domination of one party.

The U.S.''winner takes all'' system is awful tbh, the voter suppression and even the voter purge in some cases, endless gerrymandering, old voting machines, lack of polling places, voting on Tuesday...

Well, for the last 5 years I have been living in an area where the domination of one party is overwhelming and renders my personal choice useless... yet I still cast my votes at every election. In the grand scheme of things, every vote matters - even in a "winner-takes-all" system, because the decrease of percentages alone can be a trigger for indirect change. Democracy cannot work if people don't vote. And female non-voters agitate me even more, because of the long and painful struggle that was necessary to even obtain the women's suffrage.

Don't ever say "my voice won't matter" as an excuse for not making it heard. Or as the more general saying goes: If you don't try, you've already failed.

Maybe I'm being too harsh on an old lady, but I really hate non-voters with a passion! #triggered

Voting conservative kills you anyway, specially if you're a woman.
