Why The Beyoncè experience is charting in the album chart and not in the Dvd one?

Mario, Ayumi Hamasaki's GUILTY is already appearing on the oricon daily charts despite it not being the release date yet (Jan 1st). Can you explain this? Because Daily sales chart was added in feb of 2007 so I can't compare this to past daily sales. Does this mean sales will pick up after the release date, because right now they are very close with the other two albums and it might be her first studio album not to hit #1 :o

Albums released on January 1st in Japan always hit stores a few days earlier (Mai Kuraki, w-inds., and a few other other 1/01 releases have also charted). I really hope with two weeks of sales she'll be able to get #1.

I see :) I wonder too, but usually her sales start out very high but decrease greatly, so two weeks might be too much for her, but I think it's possible.

Smap's single "Dangan Fighter" is the second week at #1. The last number one with more than one week at the top was Hikaru Utada's "Flavor Of Life" in March last year.

Between Utada and Smap 39 singles spent only one week at #1. In 40 years history of the Oricon chart it's the best result in calendar year and second overall. 40 consecutive #1's with only one week at the top were between May 1986 and February 1987.

39 songs at the top were also between May 2006 and March 2007 but two of them spent two non consecutive weeks at #1.

Yeah, every position from #1 - 30 had the lowest sales ever for that position. Pretty awful.
