I believe the answer is "I Believe" with 17 Chart Entries, with 14 different songs. That's in UK.
What do you say Hanboo?

I believe it's crazy. What I mean is: according to a quick program I wrote, the most "usual song title" on the UK chart is "Crazy".

17 artists had a hit with that title (I have no clue if the songs are all different):
Julio Iglesias (peaked at #43), The Manhattans (#63), Icehouse (#38), Bob Geldof (#65), The Boys (#57), Seal (#2), Eternal (#15), Patsy Cline (#14), Mud (#12), Mark Morrison (#6), Leann Rimes (#36), K-Ci And Jojo (#35), Nut (#56), Awesome (#63), Lucid (#14) and The Moffats (#16)

Here's a list, produced by the program:

You're right Hanboo. But according to BHS thers is 18 entries for "Crazy", and you only listed 16 Acts.
You missed "Aerosmith (#23)" and "Tomcat (#48)".

Patsy Cline, Julio Iglesias and LeAnn Rimes sang the same song, the rest are different songs.

Thanks Boro.

Yes, I forgot Tomcat. Aerosmith was missed by the program, because their hit was doublesided (Crazy / Blind Man).
It may also have missed hits with "[remix]" or "[live]" in the title.
BTW there were a further 31 hits with a title beginning with 'crazy'.

I also checked 'Í believe', which was a hit for 16 acts:

Absolute Feat. Suzanne Palmer,The (#38), Bachelors,The (#2), Blessid Union Of Souls (#29), Bon Jovi (#11), Booth & The Bad Angel (#25), David Whitfield (#49), E.M.F. (#6), Frankie Laine (#1), Happy Clappers (#7), Jamestown Featuring Jocelyn Brown (#62), Lange Featuring Sarah Dwyer (#68), Marcella Detroit (#11), Reese Project,The (#74), Robert Plant (#64), Sounds Of Blackness,The (#17) and Stephen Gately (#11)

However:
Happy Clappers had a 2nd hit with 'I believe 97', which was called 'I believe 97' (excluded since this act was already mentioned).
Tears For Fears had a hit with 'I Believe (A Soulful Re-Recording)'.
And Robson Green & Jerome Flynn had a double-sided hit with 'I Believe' / 'Up On The Roof'

So, depending on the way you count, actually 17 or 18 acts had a hit with 'Í believe'.

The tally for 'Angel' could also be upped by 1, as Rod Stewart had a double-sided hit with 'Angel'/'What Made Milwaukee Famous'.

Oh, the acts for the US record title are:
Santana (#15), Triumph (#38), Kansas (#40), Donny Osmond (#73), Wilson Phillips (#1), En Vogue (#2), Rascals,The (#51), Badfinger (#56), Wild Cherry (#61), Radiants,The (#68), Sons of Champlin,The (#47), Ian Gomm (#18), Jamie Walters (#16) and Good Charlotte (#63)

Hanboo -

Do you have any information about "Mac The Knife"? In the UK it's been a hit seven times, four times under the title "Mac The Knife" and three times in its alternate title "Theme From The Threepenny Opera". How did the song do in the US? I think it may have had another title, something like "Moritat"?
