That's the official trackilisting, although the interludes have the Spanish names on the album.

Lil Kim is on Can't Hold Us Down, and not Eve.

Xtinafied posted this in a new topic, probably not knowing this had existed...

Xtinafied wrote:OK, I'm being completely objective when I say that Christina Aguilera's new album, "Stripped", has got to be the best of the year! It's so mature, personal and grown-up I was like :o lol

Anyway, you have GOT to buy this. Here are my favourite tracks (in the order they appear on tracklist):

1. Stripped Intro
2. Can't Hold Us Down
3. Walk Away
4. Fighter
5. Infatuation
6. Loving Me 4 Me
7. Underappreciated
8. Beautiful
9. Make Over (LOVE this!)
10. Cruz
11. Get Mine, Get Yours ( 8-) )
12. Dirrty
14. Stripped Pt. 2
15. I'm OK

Don't get me wrong - every single track is great; these are just the standouts. "I'm OK" is such a sad song - at least listen to that one.
And don't go by "Dirrty" as a guide to what this CD will sound like, 'cause there's no other song on the album that sounds like it. I actually wonder why she chose it as a first single.
BUY IT!
...to which Boogie_2nite replied:
Boogie_2nite wrote:i hummed and hared over this alb in asda, i bought it, i was a bit dissapointed with the alb, first one was much better, it wil grow on me tho!
and so did Kev:

Thanks Kev - that's what I'm trying to do :-)

Lib-x started a topic discussing an album review he/she found:
lib-x wrote:For those of you who missed the review of Christina's album in Sunday's Daily Star paper here it is... (by HOT column editor Ben Todd)

ALBUM IS SO SOLID CHRISTINA

Christina Aguilera's new album Stripped, arrived on the Hot desk yesterday - and she's turned in a solid effort. There's a mix of ballads - allowing her to stretch her vocal cords - and chunky dancefloor fillers. Here's our favourites for you -

CAN'T HOLD US DOWN
an uplifting girl power type tune with a strong hint of Destiny's Child thrown in

FIGHTER
a very rocky track which funnily enough would work very well on a Rocky soundtrack!

INFATUATION
Christina draws on her Hispanic background with Spanish guitars and lyrics

LOVING ME FOR ME
a slow number for a school disco

IMPOSSIBLE
ballad which Christina uses to show off her vocal range

BEAUTIFUL
yes it is. with a full orchestra to boot

MAKEOVER
reminds us of the Sugababes Round Round and could well be her next single

GET MINE, GET YOURS
funky

DIRRTY
the new singles and it's got a very steamy video to boot!

A VOICE WITHIN
a bit of soul-searching on a very slow tune

I'M OK
yes, it really is ok
...and the replies;
Hype wrote:Only 11 tracks. I thought there'd be more than that. :( Oh well i might still buy it
Xtinafied wrote:There are actually 20 tracks on the album (4 of which are interludes). This reviewer just picked his favourites. And 11 favourites out of 16 songs is great!

Here's a little explanation why I merged some topics:

A few minutes ago I refreshed the front page of UKMIX and 7 out of 10 topics were about Christina! ;-)

Everybody - please do not start any new threads about this singer for now, we've got plenty and chances are you can find one that will be alright for adding your comment instead of starting a new one :-) Thank you.

Christina Aguilera

Stripped

In A Nutshell

Aguilera gets down and "dirrty"- as if she hasn't done enough of that already. After what she terms "a little breakdown" caused by overwork, Christiba returns to chart-worrying with this album featuring songs written by herself, Alicia Keys and Pink producer Linda Perry. Is this as much a personal labour of love as she claims it is?

What's It Like?

If you're a fan of any of the aforementioned popstrels, or Lil Kim, Madge and even Alanis, you'll love this steely statement of femininst intent. No really!! Can't Hold Us Down is RESPECT for the modern girl, while the tear jerking I'm Okay is an angry, though dignified, open letter to her wife-abusing father, you want personal? You've got it, with deatail!

How Many Good Tracks?

Fourteen Out Of 20

Best Track

The rock-meets-RnB-tastic Dirrty

Worst Track

A Voice Within. A yawn within more like

VERDICT

Mature, Confident and fiesty!

4 Stars Out Of 5
Is This Deja-Vu?

I just got the album this morning and i think it's great. I wouldn't say there are too many ballads, just alot coz that's what Christina is good at.
My fave tracks are Fighter, Beautiful and Impossible. The only tracks i wasn't too impressed with were Cruz, Soar and The Voice Within.

I am still puzzled why artists put interludes on their albums, what is the point????

I got the album Monday, and LOVE it!

It's amazing, I love every track on there!

'Beautiful', 'Move Over', 'i'm Ok', 'Soar' are a few of my favs!

It's great, the first album was brilliant, and this is soooo much better!

Are you sure you won't change your mind again? ;-)

Personally I think the new album's brilliant. I (mostly) loved it from the first listen and it's grown on me faster than her debut album did.
