Well, like him or not, he is going to sell close/over 1 million on its first week in the US, so it is definitely time to open a thread about him.

Please, this is a chart related thread, stay on the subject.

As I said, the album is going to sell 1 million in the US first week, around the same his previous albums did in total. But it is not performing well in the US only :

#34 in Ireland (none of his previous albums made the top 100)
#21 in Netherlands (the same)
Top 30 on UK mids (never entered the top 200 before)

I wonder where this sucess came from, he was nothing 'til the realase of this latest CD, and selling over 1 million copies in a time where the industry is in decline is pretty important.

Canoe changed their article, it was probably a typo.

So Canada + UK + Fr + JP = 36k. That's quite big when we think that he never charted before except maybe in Canada.

Lil Wayne Back On Top Of The Billboard 200
Katie Hasty, N.Y.

Despite a 25% drop in sales, Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" returns to the top of The Billboard 200 this week. The Cash Money/Universal album moved 156,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and has now sold 1.68 million in four weeks of release.
