I was surprised when this song did so well in Britney's 'Singles Rate', but then again, it wasn't released here I don't think.

Anyway, it's alright, far from her best though.

This one is really good. Shame it was never released in the US. IMO it would have been her 2nd #1 there.

Just to point out pollei - "Break The Ice" is too new to go in retro, and there are existing topics already elswhere for that track.

So don't follow jszmile's advice too literally!!!

Yes, of course.

actually, my plan was to make a thread for all the singles from BOMT and the album itself.

^^^ Maybe you should just make a thread for the album, because then the forum will get cluttered with too many Britney threads! All the discussion could then go in the album thread!

Anywho this is one of my favourite Brit songs. It's crazy how the midtempo's and ballads by Britney are amongst my favourites! She sounds so cute on this!

I agree!

The retro thread would work better, I think, if there was one thread per artist (if no longer active or did not have a large back catalogue) or else per album, rather than one thread per track as it is turning out to be in a number of cases.

Yeah, these are all just gonna sink after 2 days of posting!

I remember Radio 1 used to play a more uptempo version of this. I loved it! I think it was #1 on my chart way back then.

While I am a bigger fan of her work since the "Britney" album until today's work, this was one of the top tracks off her first album. Just very well done.

Cheiron producers never produce something bad, Kristian Lundin is one great producer, this is one f my favourite from his amazing work for Britney. I alos like the alternative mix of it!

For some reason this was always one of the few Britney songs I actually liked.
