Music of The Sun- 1+ million
A Girl Like Me- 3 million

The mediatraffic figure for GGGB (7,5 million) has been confirmed by the IFPI ;)

Well I tend to trust the IFPI, plus I think the figure has been confirmed by her label... I guess she must be undercertified, I don't have a breakdown but my guess would be ~3m in North America, ~3,3m in Europe and ~1,2m in the rest of the world ? :P

she was awarded for 12 millions albums sold in career.

for one time seems that the data isn't inflated.

Shocked that "Disturbia" sold more than "Umbrella" in the US! :o :o :o
But maybe the "Umbrella" phenomenon was a more UK thing!

It's amazing how much she's accomplished in her short career!

Umbrella wasn't as big in the US as in the UK, but it's still her biggest hit in the US, if it had been released in 2008 it would have sold more than Disturbia.

I doubt it will, GGGB will probs be her biggest selling album, she'll struggle to outsell this I think the success was amazing

her tremendous single sales hardly matter.

a single sells for around a dollar while an album sells for around 13.

this is why, mariah carey is consdired above her and given more priority than Rihanna.

While Rihanna and Beyonce had to struggle(by that i mean release a slew of hits) to get a 2xP certification,i think two hits off MOAIA should do the trick and perhaps even a 3xp cert.

Mariah is an institution.Even Whitney's I look to you,the album, will be favoured thus.

Come August 25th, you are going to feel very silly for saying this. 3xP for Mariah? :-?

Mariah is so not going to sell what Rihanna did with "GGGB" - both album and single sales.
