I didn’t expect it but Crowded House knock Jack Johnson off his perch after only one week at the top. Lady GaGa moves up 3 to #6 thanks to the Glee episode aired last Thursday and the Alejandro video. It looks like Justin Bieber is finally starting to lose steam, down 3 to #8. The Chemical Brothers’ 7th album lands one spot below, at #9.

Sarah McLachlan’s new effort debuts at #12, becoming the songstress’ highest charting album in Australia. The Sex & The City 2 soundtrack suffer a huge drop this week, down 13 to #20. Thanks to his appearance on the final of Australia’s Got Talent, Mark Vincent re enters at #21. His debut is also charting at #50.

Not a whole lot to mention until we get to #36 with that re entry of the Alvin & The Chipmunks’ soundtrack, co-inciding with the DVD release of the movie. David Guetta is up 9 to #38 thanks to Gettin’ Over You and Yusuf Islam’s latest album re enters at #42 on the back of his currrent tour.

A big release schedule next week. Eminem will be #1 without a doubt. Sia could debut inside the Top 5 with her anticipated second album. Glee & Thirsty Merc will land at the bottom of the Top 10. The Amity Affliction, Robyn & Kele may enter around the #25-#30 spot.

^ Was also surprised to see such a small gap between Usher & Katy, especially since the latter had a strong lead on iTunes. Looks like Usher is selling more on other digital outlets.

As for albums sales, I think that Eminem will do very well and have the biggest opening week of the year. Not Afraid is currently climbing back on iTunes and it looks like Love The Way You Lie will be big in Australia, it's already #21 on iTunes after only 14 hours :o .

7 tracks of Recovery are currently charting within the Top 300.

They are playing that Scouting For Girls song quite a bit here in Sydney methinks...won't be surprised if it keeps ascending the chart.
Let's embrace the point of no return.
