After Kick ! X seems low (suicidal Blonde and Dissapear couldn´t help the album to reach 2Xplatinum)

Australia
(Bulion at australian-charts.com)

INXS hold for a third week at No.1 with their “Very Best of” collection, becoming their second longest running chart-topping album behind “The Swing” (TW-34) which stayed atop for five weeks from April 1984.

INXS also climb from 50th to 45th on the list of ‘Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums 1965 to 2014’, alongside the twelve accumulated week by Red Hot Chili Peppers (5 albums), Billy Joel, Pink Floyd, Robbie Williams (4 albums) and Meat Loaf (2 albums). Plus it’s the longest run at the top for a Best of collection since Pink spent thirteen weeks at No.1 from mid-November 2010. The group occupied the top two spots last week, this week “Kick” is back down to No.3, having now had three runs at No.2, totaling twelve weeks (six weeks in 1987, five weeks in 1988 and one week last week).

INXS and Pharrell Williams' Happy are the top performing releases of the year so far.

ARIA today released its mid-year Top 100 albums and singles lists and Australia's renewed love affair with INXS has made the band's greatest hits album the top performing album of the year so far.

The Aussie rock band managed to pip the soundtrack to Disney's hit film Frozen, which has captivated young girls around the world thanks to the hit song Let It Go.

Pharrell Williams' infectious worldwide hit Happy topped the singles list and Williams' album GIRL came in at No 5.
