Confirmed by TMZ:

BRITNEY SPEARS TITANIC VEGAS CONTRACT

Britney Spears will be raking in HUGE STACKS in Vegas this winter -- a ridiculous $310,000 per show ... nearly $15 million per year -- but she still doesn't hold a candle to Celine Dion.

TMZ is privy to the financial details of Britney's deal. The 2-year contract calls for 48 shows a year at Planet Hollywood. According to the contract, Britney will earn $310,000 per show.

By contrast, Celine does 70 shows a year. Sources say she pulls in $476,000 a show ... so she's way ahead of Britney in the money department, but Brit gets more time off.

Britney's cut of the gate is huge -- projected sales per show are $508,514, meaning Brit will be snagging more than 60%.

As we reported, producers are shooting for a "cool, hip club-like show" ... unlike the run-of-the-mill Vegas shows that preceded it (Celine's included). It starts in December.

It'll be interesting.

A Vegas residency is much harder to keep going than a tour - you've got to be an elite star; Bette Midler couldn't fill it, Cher couldn't, Shania's struggling, Elton did well but with comparatively fewer shows per year than most and etc.

I can't wait for the boxscores - she's predicted to do just over $500k per show, of which she will pocket 60% - that's a really high take-home that can only be sustained if she manages to fill the 4,500 seat theater regularly.

Good luck to her, this will hopefully help her hone her performance skills again ready for a fully fledged world tour.

50 shows a year, how many performances a week is that?

How many did Celine do a year?

I'm not too familiar with how these Vegas gigs work.

How many did Celine do a year?

Celine did approx. 140 per year with "A New Day" (2003-2007) , and approx. 50 per year with her "Celine" residency show (2011-present).

"Work Bitch" should be her theme for herself, she will seriously flop if she doesn't work hard for this big time gig!

Interesting, I'm still curious about how she will do, will she finally perform live or will it all be like playback and stuff? People would be furious to pay this over a lip-synched performance OR people might just don't care but she really needs to work her @ss off to keep that venue filled :) ! I can't wait for the DVD hahahahaha....

$59 will be the worst seats but that's still quite good value I think!

I think there's no info about this but...

...will she be doing 1 show per week or will there be times when she does 4 shows a week and none the week after. The latter would allow her more "free" time.

The latter. She'll be doing a couple of shows per week and will have some breaks in between the weeks that she's performing.
