In the other hip-hop corner we have Roots Manuva, who is fast becoming a huge star. The cheese-on-toast and ten pints of bitter rapping are gone, and a track which is altogether more credible and commercial has resulted. He's picked up a lot more airplay than Mark B & Blade, and should gain his first Top 40 hit - which is certainly no bad thing. Expect the battle to be close, but Roots Manuva will probably come out on top.
