It's nice to see someone realised this girl had talent and signed her back up as a solo artist. This debut single is very much in the style of music her band Hepburn recorded, and a good song it is too. It's feisty pop with a rock edge, which is quite refreshing and original. I'm looking forward to the album which features a song worked on with The Bangles!

The first single from Jamie Benson could easily have come from her former group, Hepburn. "Invincible" is a guitar-driven pop song which sees Jamie trying to be the next Natalie Imbruglia. The style and lyrics at times retreat the singer from the credible end of the indie set, and although it's pretty catchy when the chorus kicks in, she's unlikely to score a big hit. Worth checking out to make your own mind up.
