Natalie Imbruglia graces our ears with the fantastic second single from her commercially ignored second album "White Lilies Island". "Wrong Impression" is an up-tempo, feel-good, summer song, and unlike the previous single "That Day", shows off her singing more than lyrical genius. Comparisons to Alanis Morissette have been made since her attack on the charts, but I think this song proves she has a much better voice and deserves to be recognised in her own right. Great song, great voice, great stuff.
Following a lacklustre response to brilliant come-back single "That Day", the Aussie songstress wraps her vocals around another guitar-led standout from her second album "White Lilies Island". Whilst "That Day" stood out for being different, "Wrong Impression" reverts back to a tried and tested soft rock formula which suits Natalie's style and attitude. This uplifting outing may not emulate the success of "Torn", but it should deservedly reintroduce her into the Top 10.
