Justin Bieber feat. Ludacris
Released: 4th March 2013.
The Biebster and Ludacris have had quite the history together as their previous collaboration, "Baby", was a massive hit with its video becoming a huge viral sensation, eventually ascending to the top tier of YouTube success, and it now stands as the second most viewed clip on the video-sharing site of all-time! So with that level of success behind the pair, how does this second round stack up?
Firstly, Justin sounds very unlike himself in the song as his singing style is so different from what listeners are accustomed to. It's almost as if he's trying to emulate someone else. Secondly, his verses, though catchy to a degree, aren't memorable. Ludacris adds some much-needed spice to the track but the lyrics are so unbelievably cringeworthy and at some moments completely laughable ("You're imperfectly perfect"). The song's only real strong point is its melody which is rather good and very radio-friendly.
Bieber's had better but I'm sure that his legion of fans will see to it that this does well.
