Every new Pitbull single is sure to spark fierce discussions on whether it's cheap/genius/cheesy/amazing, and this one will be no exception. Released as the fourth single from the album "Global Warming" (following "Get It Started", "Back In Time" and "Don't Stop The Party"), "Feel this moment" sees Pitbull teaming up with none other than Christina Aguilera on what surely ranks as one of his biggest "hands up" tracks ever.
Christina's powerful belting in the chorus makes for a nice contrast to Pitbull's raps. However, it's the sped-up, instantly recognizable sample of A-Ha's "Take On Me" melody line that is likely to get most clubber's hands in the air during peak hour.
Admittedly, it's hardly the most original of tracks, but it surely will appeal to a large audience thanks to the combination of its strong sing-along chorus and its overly familiar melody. Probably his strongest single choice in a while.
The fourth single from his "Global Warming" album, Pitbull enlists the assistance of Pop diva, Christina Aguilera, in this Dance/Pop extravaganza, "Feel This Moment".
On paper, it's certainly an odd pairing but the two mesh so seamlessly on the track. Christina's vocals are gorgeous here as she abandons her almost trademark shrieking to deliver a tame, but beautiful refrain. Lyrically, the song is much more palatable than most of Pitbull's concoctions, speaking of savouring every delicious moment life has to offer.
"Feel This Moment" has got massive appeal and should turn out to be as massive a hit in the UK as it's become stateside.
