Logic - 1-800-273-8255 (feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid)"1-800-273-8255" was created after Logic spent some time with fans who claimed the rapper saved their lives. Logic was not aiming for that; however, he asked himself "what can happen if I actually did?"

Well, the end result was one of the most powerful lyrics ever written in its content and a clear contender for song of the year. Logic spits fire in his verses, "They say every life precious, but nobody care about mine," and Alessia Cara's no slouch either. Khalid, too, does his part, armed with all the glorious power of a potent backing choir.

The song was well-received by critics calling it an "anthem for suicide prevention," and the impact it made at the VMAs was outstanding, beyond any words I could use. Hopefully, more artists take a page from Logic's book so that more awareness can be created through the power of music.

The single, produced by Logic and Arjun Ivatury, the latter known as 6ix, took some time to take off after it was released, slowly gaining popularity, but it was burning charts, radios and streaming after a couple of months, and has slow-burned its way into one of the biggest chart hits of 2017.
