Released: 12th November 2001.
It's been quite a while since Madonna's released an album, but she's back again. Maybe it's due to age or perhaps motherhood has forced her career to take a major backseat, but GHV2 isn't as good as it could be.
Unlike "The Immaculate Collection", which played her singles in the order they were released, GHV2 scatters them in whatever direction it feels like; the end result makes it look like it was thrown together in a hurry.
Secondly this album deals only with Madonna music from 1992 (starting with "Erotica" and ending at "Music") onward, which perhaps it a good thing as it would be difficult to compress >everything she's done.
Unless you're a die-hard fan, or you never did get around to hearing her soundtrack music, you might be better off leaving it on the shelf and looking for something else. On the other hand, if you've ignored Madonna since she went through her "Erotica" phase and want to get back in touch with her music, this just might be the album for you.
