Weezer - Beverly HillsRock is doing very well this year, and with this song, it looks like Weezer will ride on the crest of the wave and have their biggest hit to date. OK, so it's far from the most credible single they've done, but "Beverly Hills" is just such a fun rock song. The chords are big, brash and basic, the chorus is dead simple to sing along to, and all in all the song is just incredibly good fun. Brings out the geek rock star in everyone!

One of the more unexpected comebacks of 2005, this time in the shape of US rock group Weezer. After three years off, they're back with the anthemic sounding "Beverly Hills", and although it sounds slightly reminiscent of "Island In The Sun", it still manages to sound modern and catchy. With some decent exposure, this will be a surefire hit, and an early summer anthem.
