Stereophonics - SupermanAfter the smash hit "Dakota", we come to the slow rocking "Superman", which suggests the Stereophonics are back to their best after previous dismal efforts. The verses are low-toned, steady growers, as is the chorus, which is great to sing along to. The lyrics are good, yet odd, and the idea behind the song is questionable. The music is top notch though, with catchy guitars and strong beats, which will ensure another Top 10 hit for the lads.

Following up their No. 1 hit "Dakota", the Stereophonics show further signs of trading in their distinctive, cryptic lyrical wordplay for stronger, more anthemic melodies. Unlike "Dakota", however, it doesn't work quite as well with "Superman". Nonetheless, it's still a stunning song, but not quite matching the best of the Phonics' previous work.
