Missy Elliott feat. Ciara & Fatman Scoop - Lose ControlI always describe Missy Elliott as an event rather than just an artist, and it seems that description has never been truer with this unique club track. Supported once more with an outstanding video, surely there can't be anything left for Missy to try and still sound original? She's managed to do it again here, finding new areas of hip-hop to dip her fingers into. "Lose Control" features girl of the minute, Ciara, as well as rap's foghorn, Fatman Scoop, to great effect, over this almost Nintendo-sounding production. If the first single is anything to go by, we're in for a treat with the sixth album "The Cookbook".

The once trendsetting Missy 'Misdemeanor' Elliott has become increasingly mainstream, having lately only added plain vocals to acts like Christina Aguilera and Ciara. Since releasing the rushed "This Is Not A Test!" album in 2003, all eyes have been on Missy's missing originality. Sixth album "The Cookbook" is on the way, and a hot lead single is important - but, ladies and gentlemen, she's done it. Sampling what sounds like a video game machine and spitting the tightest verses she's done in a few years, "Lose Control" is the single the last album was missing. Add to that guest performers Fatman Scoop and Ciara on both song and video, this track might just silence those who were adamant Missy couldn't "Work It" anymore.
