Released: 8th August 2005.
One of the finest dance anthems of the summer is finally upon us! Unfortunately, dance music this year has failed to deliver the impact of previous summers, but this could be the first of several major releases over the coming weeks. Axwell received much airplay last year on dance stations with his excellent re-working of Usher's "Burn", and is now about to have a hit in his own right. Originally this track was almost instrumental with some male vocals, but now it's been reworked to great effect with female vocals - and it really means business! The simple, but effective, video is also one of my favourite music videos of the year so far, so keep your eye out for it.
Appearing towards the end of summer last year, Swedish producer Axwell's "Feel The Vibe" proved a classic example of how it is possible to generate an uplifting atmosphere even with the most minimalist of components. Short on vocals, but rich in bassline, this is a track that is both distinctive and effective. Data's official UK release incorporates a full vocal to aid accessibility, which some have argued detracts from the original goal of the song, but, as the remix package includes the original version anyway, who's complaining?
