Fresh from their Mercury Music Prize nomination, Hard-Fi are back with what is set to be a third decent sized hit from their "Stars Of CCTV" album. Whilst "Tied Up Too Tight" and "Hard To Beat" were rather difficult to get into until after a few listens, this new track is somewhat more instant. I still wouldn't say that Hard-Fi are a band who stand out as excellent, but it's a very pleasant, solid slice of indie music from Staines' famous non-Ali-G sons.
Following their breakthrough hit "Hard To Beat", Mercury Music Prize runners up Hard Fi are back with their fourth single from debut album "Stars Of CCTV." It's nothing different to what we've come to expect from them - electronic indie, with some cheeky lyrics and a whole upper class chav element about it, close to what The Streets and The Ordinary Boys put across. It won't be huge, will probably struggle to make the Top 20, but after such high album sales, I doubt they'll mind too much.
