Released: 19th September 2005.

The fourth single from Armand Van Helden's current album "Nympho" is the latest in a very long line of tracks to use a sample from an old song (in this case, Nick Gilder's "Rock Away") and loop the vocals over a dance beat. Thanks to the distinctive vocals, "When The Lights Go Down" sounds more interesting than its predecessor "Into Your Eyes", but it doesn't quite live up to the expectations raised by "You Don't Know Me" or "My My My". Maybe it's time for Armand Van Helden to jump off the bandwagon and release a totally new song again?
