The third single from Gorillaz' latest album is an odd affair really. It's not anywhere near as instant as "Feel Good Inc" and "Dare", but is much more focussed around the instrumental parts, with precious little in the way of a vocal line. It's still good, but it's rather hard to instantly get into. Maybe would have been best left on the album, eh, guys? (Or should I say monkeys?)
From "Demon Days", the Gorillaz fail to conjure up anything as irresistible as "Feel Good Inc" or "Dare". Instead, they've come up with a very generic, uninspired and forgettable song that plods along, not really going anywhere. The trouble with "Dirty Harry" is that it doesn't have that unique Gorillaz edge to it.
