The Bluewater shopping centre in Kent is trying to tackle issues of yobbish behaviour, and earlier this year famously banned the wearing of hooded tops (known as 'hoodies'). There are arguments for and against this ban, but Lady Sovereign for one is totally against it. Her cause has been heard very high up as she got invited to the Chancellor Gordon Brown's home to discuss it! To go with her campaign is this incredibly funny single, one which I'm rather ashamed to say is truly fantastic. So come on everyone, fling on your ADIDAS hoodie and just boogie woogie with me!
Ahoy there, on a voyage to save all things townie. Amongst them the hoodie, which plagues this novelty infested chav-rap. Standing up to the prejudice, Miss Sovereign delivers a fairly humorous tune, with a video reflecting unexpected behaviour, for someone like the Sov. Much like the song itself, after a rather abysmal start to her career, "Hoodie" is a step up. I mean, it's not that bad, but still, you wouldn't want to listen to it more than once.
