Released: 26th June 2006.
In 2005, The Kooks charted three mid-table hits that were deserving of mid-table chart placings. Now in 2006, the band are showing just what all the hype is about. "She Moves In Her Own Way" is, in my mind, the band's strongest release by quite a big margin, being an incredibly tuneful, summery piece of indie music that fits in perfectly with the way music is going at the moment. One you'll be humming for weeks to come, and a very outside bet for a shock No. 1 hit.
Millionth single from massive debut album by The Kooks. Well, only the fifth actually, although their attempt to overtake the airwaves has certainly proved successful. Despite getting a hard time from various sources (Johnny Borrell, anyone?), this is yet another good tune, and very summer-friendly. This will be bigger than "Naive", but probably not bigger than Britpop.
