Bob The Builder
Released: 3rd September 2001.
Ooh goodie, another one of those Bob the Builder "classics"! It may be true that the last single from this animated labourer was more original, being the theme tune to the programme, but it has to be said that good old Bob has an unlikely talent at producing hit singles. This remake of Lou Bega's "Mambo No. 5" is even quite amusing in places, and is sure to be successful, though probably not as big as its predecessor. And just remember, it's not a disaster if this hits No. 1.
Last year, Bob the Builder had the best-selling single of the entire year. This time around he may not be quite that big, but he'll surely top the chart. This is of course a cover of the Lou Bega classic with the girls names replaced by... well, building terms. "A little bit of timber and a saw" etc. It's what you'd expect from Bob the Builder, so be warned. All in all, a harmless enough single.
