Grimes has shared a video for "REALiTi", a previously-unheard track which she recorded in 2013 for an early (and later scrapped) version of her Visions follow-up. “Since this is no longer gonna be on the album," she states in the video description, "I’m releasing it as a special thank you to everyone in Singapore, KL, Manila, Jakarta, HK, Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei, Seoul, Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo who came out to the shows!". She also notes the choppiness of the mix, noting that it was "poorly recorded in the first place and never meant to be heard by anyone". The video, directed by Grimes herself, incorporates footage of the shows as well as her travels throughout Asia. Check it out below.

It's taking forever for this Visions follow-up, and she used to be so prolific in 2011-2012 (three albums and one EP).

I wasn't the biggest fan of Go, but I didn't like that she gave into fan peer pressure. Make music for yourself first and the fans come second IMO. There's always going to be fans lost and fans made with every new song and change.

This song was never finished. its a demo from ~ the lost album ~, recorded early 2013. i lost the ableton file, so its not mixed or mastered. i tried to doctor the mp3 into a listenable state, but it was poorly recorded in the first place and never meant to be heard by anyone, so its a bit of a mess haha.

Taking to her Tumblr to defend herself against reports she binned an album because of a negative fan-reaction to her Rihanna-rejected track Go, Grimes wrote, “The album was scrapped cuz it was depressing and I didn’t want to tour it. I may release it one day,” adding that this all happened before Go was even released.

“I honestly never ‘ditched an album due to negative fan reaction to go.’ Go did really well imo. obviously some people didn’t like it as it was different from my other material, but isn’t that the point of collaborations/ trying to write for other artists?” she wrote.

“I throw out music all the time, i have almost 1000 gigs of unreleased music on my hard drive.”

Even though I've always thought that Flesh Without Blood was the best song on Art Angels, this is the one song from the album I always find myself coming back to. It's got such a unique mood, dreamy lyrics and mesmerizing instrumental. I could never get tired of it.

at first I didn't like the album version, but already after a couple of listens it sounds so much better and fuller somehow. the original feels empty now
