Apart from Womanizer and S&S, the Netherlands have been an awful market for her since GH:MP.

Nice to see Someday did good in Europe. Better than I remembered.

Billboard has compiled a list of the top 40 highest-paid musicians of 2014, Despite the fact Britney Spears didn't release any new material (song or album) in the 2014 year she was still able to make the top 20.

Billboard ranks the highest-paid musicians of the past year.

The measure of artistic success isn't easy to pin down -- and its not easy to quantify, either. Ten of Billboard's top reporters drilled down on artists' primary music-based revenue streams to determine who, from newcomers to legends, brought home the most bacon in 2014.

Britney Spears is still a solid name in music industry, take into consideration 2013 / 2014 are considered to be her "worst" years in music industry and yet she still stands out among the top earners in music. Her as an artist still worths and makes millions of dollars every year based only on music.

Yes, this is a Billboard list (not a Forbes one), its only music related (sales, royalties, touring).

Yes, the vast majority of the list generated most of the money from tickets sales. The article also says Britney earned over $700K in royalties and sold over 2,2million tracks in 2014.

The list reflects how powerful Britney is, many haters say she's over yet their faves are not in the list, also the fact that her last album didn't have much sales has nothing to do with her power as an artist and star in the business.

If we analyze and take Beyonce as an analytic comparison / example who had a huge year, was like one of the top females of the year and is contemporary with Brit, you'll see Beyonce ranked at #12 with $19m and Britney ranked at #18 with $13m, as you can see the difference is not even that remarkable, then you realize that in 2014 Beyonce did two massive tours (the completation of 25 dates of her "Mrs Carter world tour" and the "On the run" Stadium tour with Jay-Z), she released 7 new singles, a DVD and Re-released her top selling album "Beyoncé", then we have Britney, what did she do in 2014?, the answer: nothing, just some Vegas shows. Thats when you understand how big Britney is but mostly how expensive her name is, she can generate a lot with less releases, less work, more simple things and out of the spotlight because she has the enough power in the industry to do that.

She still generates millions of dollars and is valuable, profitable and worthy as an artist, from the day she took the scene in 1998 to the present she has constantly been among the top earner musicians nearly every year.
