You just can't say billboard is wrong because you saw a better figure in a media or on a tour promoter page. There are from time to time discrepancies between pollstar and billboard. I like pollstar because they publish more concerts outside north america. Having said that i think billboard reporting is more accurate. I have thousands of pollstar concerts on my databse and i can say there are plenty of typo at all levels gross, attendance, wrong date. I even have a maiden show reported that was actually cancelled lol

I'm not knocking Billboard at all. There's plenty of errors in the PollStar listings too. I'm just saying that in the case of Brooklyn, I have more faith in the PollStar boxscore as I double checked with them as to why there was a difference between the Billboard and PollStar numbers - they checked and came back to me, claiming it was correct and that it was reported like that from the venue, which should be fairly reliable as they would have no reason to blow up the numbers as opposed to the management or the agency.

When it comes to capacities, those numbers are all over the place in both publications depending on who's reporting the numbers. Some artists report sold out shows everywhere even though the play to half the venue cap.

Something entirely different. Do you have boxscores pre PollStar (1999)? I have a lot from WorldSlavery tour, but almost nothing from the other 80s tours.

Billboard has quite a lot pre-1999 boxscore also. Pollstar as well. Send them an email. Back in the days it used to be 75$ for full history

The thing is not about which site reports the numbers, it's about the promoters. Websites like Billboard or Pollstar don't create numbers, they will only post what the promoters send to them. Personally, I prefer Pollstar.

But it's a bit funny to trust more in articles or random fan accounts than in a official figure.

Great, I think circa 96% attendance in total. Best since 80s.

Still think price was too expensive in some markets. Cities like LA or NY should bring +40k people. But well gross is ok so management must be happy

You're obviously right, but we must admit the band's production using during the shows is pretty expensive making average ticket price higher than usual. I estimated total gros from 43 show as ~45 mln USD with 700k combined attendance. GREAT IMO
