After Volvo and Abba, Sweden's most successful export...and the first band for whom I wrote off to the fan club. Ah, those pre-internet days!!

    Any other fans???

Oh yeah, Roxette is one of my favorite bands and I can call myself a fan . They really had some great songs during career, Anyone being my favorite among them.
And I always prefer their ballads over uptempo songs

One of the best pop acts ever.

Their 1989-94 output was totally flawless for me, so many catchy pop songs and emotional ballads that really summed up the era in pop music for me. I also like a few of their more recent songs too.

Yeah, Roxette were hot as lava in 1989-1994, in Europe at least. I was a big fan and still am to an extent. But...

I think Per's lyrics were incredibly naff sometimes and the examples multiplied as the years passed. "Sleeping in my car"? Err, what was that all about? "Church of your heart"? "Sail the heart-shaped sea"? Awwww.

Anyway, at least they made Things Will Never Be the Same, that'll do for me.

Loved "Must Have Been Love" - obviously...

"Joyride" was good too but I preferred the excellent comeback(?) single "I Wish I Could Fly" - that was quality....

Ha, I've only recently gotten into them, the whole "Look Sharp!" album is excellent, the second album seems a bit patchy, but it has some excellent songs, especially "Watercolours In The Rain" - why wasn't it a single? It's so moving.

It was one of the best shows I've seen in long time. They've played 2 whole hours, did 2 encores, played almost all of their classics.

The crowd have been singing loudly all songs along with the band, some parts of the songs were sung only by the audience, which was awesome experience.

There were almost all generations in the crowd: from children to elders - such fantastic thing that even if there was such difference in age, all of people were enjoying their music.

Truly unforgettable band and amazing gig. I hope I will have a chance to see them again.

Shame they didn't play Speak To Me which is fantastic pop song!

Neverthelss, great band. I've always liked them. ''Listen to Your Heart'' and ''The Look'' are my faves from their catalogue

    Miss them ALOT!

One of the finest bands in the entire universe. Sad Marie was struck with cancer but glad she made it through, albeit by paying the heavy price of losing sight in her left eye :(

I hope they return to form and surprise us once again with their trademark sound!

For anyone who havent heard Roxette since their heyday, i'd recommand to listen to their more recent music which has been overlooked mainly by radio stations:

    Reveal
    Speak To Me
    Crush On You
    Center Of The Heart
    Milk and Toast and Honey
    Stars
    Wish I Could Fly

Those songs sound so fresh as if they have been recorded with today's musical expectations

Did anyone get the re-recorded version of The Look for the 25th anniversary of its release? It was released last month but guess no one bought it enough to let pop in the charts :(

The new version is quite updated yet pretty much faithful to the original version. I'm blasting it all the time in my car lol

By the way.... apparently they are working for a new album for late 2015! YES!

I've been listening a lot to them lately due to the fact that I'm currently running a survivor of their singles. Their music is so good! "Almost Unreal", "Run To You", "Vulnerable" and "Queen Of Rain" are my favourites apart from the big hits.

I've always wondered why they never sold many albums in the US, despite the fact that they had some huge hit singles.

Look Sharp gave them three US top 2 singles yet the album only peaked at number 23 (it went platinum eventually, though).
A couple of years later, Ace Of Base also had three huge singles from one album and that album topped Billboard's album chart and even the year-end chart of 1994.
