Could not find an existing topic for this absolute classic urban soundtrack. It gets weekly spins on my iPhone.

I actually saw that. You were the last to comment on the Exhale thread
Seriously, this is an amazing album and I'm not just talking about the released singles with videos. I actually wish Deborah Cox and Monica were also featured in it.

I was watching Brandys recent videos where she sang Exhale live last week and was thinking that they should do a remix of the album. Like the Luther Tribute album
And have other artists cover the album.

I actually wished Aaliyah was also in here having listened to the soundtrack recently. Being the soundtrack princess that she was to become in this decade, it would have been great to hear her sing a Babyface-penned track!

Anyway, this is really one of the monumental R&B albums of the 1990s, if I am not mistaken, almost all singles here competed against each other for the R&B categories in the Grammys! Such a shame that R&B music will never be the same again. :(

The more I hear Brandy sing Exhale, the more I think it would be a good idea to have the album revisited. Have the original vocalists with featured artists.

If "Let It Flow" was released properly and got major promo, it would have been a big hit for Toni. I think Toni could have sung "Why Does It Hurt So Bad" as well.

It would be great if they came with "Waiting to Exhale Revisited" where some songs are dueted (original and new artist) with revised production and also some new songs.
I'd revisit Shoop, This Is How It Works, Sittin' Up, Count On Me at the very least.

Who would you see singing WH's songs ? I am against the idea to be honest, very few covers is good or even listenable, unless somebody really good would try.

I've been recently impressed with Brandy showcasing her duet goals on Shoop. Whatever songs are duetted, I'd suggest leaving Whitneys vocals intact for her part. To resign part of her songs, I'd reckon maybe Toni, Aretha, Brandy, Monica. Basically the older, more formidable artists
