I'm anticipating this too. I thought the first season was good, not great; but very intriguing and accomplished, and well acted.

Halfway through the new season, halfway bored.
It takes too much time to really kick in BUT it's still entertaining to watch.
The art team really did an amazing job recreating the 80s.

Just finished watching the new season. I'm gonna save my comments until some more have had a chance to see it. I just have one huge complaint about a filler episode, but other than that I'm really satisfied with how it turned out.

Noah Schnapps, the actor playing Will, is freaking amazing!

There's also an aftershow called "Beyond Stranger Things", hosted by Jim Rash, in which he discusses the show with the creators/producers and some of the cast which is worth a watch.

Saw the first two episodes last night (and the first few minutes of the 3rd one due to the ending of the 2nd one ), will watch the rest tomorrow.

So far, so good. There's something missing so far though. So as KEY9481 already said, it really takes some time to kick in but it's still very exciting. Some of the scenes were brilliant so far, and i love the music they used for this.

I've watched the first 5 episodes so far and I'm loving it.

They've built suspense brilliantly; the returning characters all have things to do and I like the new characters too.

Can't wait to see how it all comes to a head....

Overall, decent season. The eighth episode was the stand-out episode for me.

Episodes 8 and 9 had me on edge. EPIC.
The last (long) scene was perfect on so many levels.
    Cannot wait for series 3.

I watched 4 episodes so far.
I was planning to watch an episode a day, but it's mission impossible
Like someone mentioned, I love how they're building suspension more and more throughut the episodes

Episode 7 for me sticks out like a sore thumb. I don't hate the concept I just wish it was mixed with Hawkins more.

Episode 8 and 9 where amazing. I'm probably going to rewatch again starting tomorrow.

Just finished watching episode 8. Damn, damn....DAMN !!
I decided to leave the last episode for tomorrow, but the thought it will be the end all over again just makes me sad.
Noah Schnapp who plays Will deserves all the TV awards possible for this season. The kid's brilliant!

I just watched the entire season in one sitting Fantastic season! I really love this show. My only real complaints were Max and episode 7. The actor who plays Max is terrible and as someone else said, I just wish episode 7 had more links with Hawkins. It really sticks out.

Yeah it just seems to stick out. Especially given the cliff hanger episode 6 ended with. I didn't hate Max.i just don't think her and her brother where needed! Literally you could remove them and it wouldn't affect the plot at all. They where just superfluous

    Aaand I finished the season
I must say I expected a bit more from the final episode, but either way I'm more than satisfied with what they did with season 2.

    And now waiting again :(

    Amazing season. Loved it!
It took a lil while to get exciting but the buildup was great and the last 15 minutes were everything!

Nielsen’s new Netflix ratings service has its first public results, and they confirm what a lot of people in the TV industry felt but didn’t know for sure: “Stranger Things” is a hit.

On Thursday, Nielsen released ratings for all nine episodes of the second season of the spooky thriller, which was made available on Netflix on Oct. 27.

According to the data, the first episode of “Stranger Things” was watched by 15.8 million people within the first three days.

How does that compare to three-day ratings for other top shows? Well, 15 million people watched the premiere episode of the most recent season of “The Walking Dead,” the biggest hit on cable; the first episode of NBC’s “This Is Us” was watched by 17.8 million people; and the premiere episode of the latest season of “The Big Bang Theory” was watched by 22 million people. The season finale of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” had 14.8 million viewers within three days of its broadcast; the premium cable network said that more than 30 million people watched each episode this past season once streaming numbers were factored in.

Netflix has always kept its streaming numbers private and has long rejected the thought of third-party measurement data. A spokesman for the company said last month that Nielsen’s numbers are “not accurate, not even close.”

In a statement on Thursday, a spokeswoman said, “Their math might be from the upside down,” referring to the alternate dimension in “Stranger Things.”

Nielsen’s data is drawn from television sets using audio recognition software, so it cannot measure viewers who watch a Netflix show on a tablet, laptop or phone. That suggests the number of viewers for “Stranger Things” is actually even larger.

Further, Nielsen’s numbers track only domestic users, and Netflix now has more paying international subscribers (52.7 million) than it does in the United States (51.3 million).

There is some skepticism within the TV industry about how accurate Nielsen’s streaming numbers will be, but many acknowledge they are an important step in finding a reliable third-party measurement system. Nielsen does not yet track Amazon or Hulu but said it hopes to.

According to Nielsen, the ratings decline for each episode of “Stranger Things,” though that likely has to do with the fact that a viewer can’t get to all of the episodes within three days.

Nielsen did say that 4.6 million viewers finished the entire nine-episode season of “Stranger Things” between Friday and Sunday last weekend. And 361,000 people managed to watch the whole season within a day.

I adore this show! It took me two attempts to get past episode 1 but I’m so glad I did. The cast is fantastic, it’s only Max and her brother that I could’ve done without really. The school dance scenes were so magical.
