Here's the first singles chart in its CW 01 of the new year 2017.

"All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey drops off the German Top 100 completely this week - after hitting No. 5 last week!
I cannot think of a bigger dive, so is this a new record for dissappearing from the Top 100 / Top 75 / Top 50?
Btw, Wham!'s "Last Christmas" also drops off the chart from No. 7.

That would make "Last Christmas" the only hit to drop right out of the chart from number seven twice - this first happened in early 1985 !

Unless I'm forgetting any more, just two others have dropped out from number seven :

In the very same week of 2015, however, this fell out from number six:

Oh yes, I'd forgotten about the current availability of full charts from that period.

In the UK all that happened was that the A-side was flipped while the single was at number 2. I'm guessing that "Everything She Wants" had always been the flip of "Last Christmas" in Germany, but the sudden slide followed by an equally sudden return almost to where it had been does suggest that there was a temporary shortage while new singles with "Everything She Wants" as the A-side were pressed.
