Grammys are such a joke once again. I'm not surprised she lost against an actual hit (Boo'd Up), but losing against a collection of EPs that is now marketed as an album? Bye.

I'm disappointed too but, well, that's the pot calling the kettle black.

The R&B categories have some of the worst winners across the whole awards. I don't think I've agreed with any of the winners in the past 5 years, although Boo'd Up did deserve it's win.

While Toni's album is definitely too short and basically an EP's length, it was promoted like this from day one. It's still a full body of work. What they did with H.E.R. is mixing together three standalone EPs. Not really the same situation, IMO.

I think she'll lose to Boo'd Up (which is nominated for Song Of The Year) for R&B Song.

I do think it's gonna be tight though and Toni will end up in the top 2 for all/most of her categories. The Grammys love Toni...but H.E.R and Ella will be difficult to beat this year as both have had such good years. It's a shame H.E.R is nominated for R&B Album instead of Urban Contemporary Album otherwise I would have said Toni will win that one.
Yeah unfortunately this was a little predictable. H.E.R & Ella were nominated in the major categories so Toni was never gonna be able to compete unfortunately.

It was so unfair for Toni to have H.E.R. compete against her in R&B, I thought H.E.R. was supposed to be in Urban Contemporary Album!

Anyway, I'm glad Toni showed up, I wish they had her perform or present at least. She deserves to be acknowledged. I can't believe it's been almost twenty years since she was presented a nomination for her work on live television.

R&B should have also been separated as Best Solo R&B Performance and Best R&B Performance by a Duo/Group.

It's a shame this only yielded two real singles. I think that Missin' was a missed opportunity. Whenever it comes on shuffle I feel like I'm listening to one of her hits, not just an album track. A change from the heartbreak at last.
