Post Malone's 'Rockstar' Extends Streak Atop Australia's Singles Chart
    http://www.billboard.com/articles/colum ... aria-chart
    10/16/2017 by Lars Brandle

Post Malone rocks out for a third straight week at No. 1 on Australia’s singles chart with “Rockstar” (Republic/Universal), featuring 21 Savage, while the 13th installment of Triple J's Like A Version (ABC/UMA) series blasts to the top of the national albums survey.

On this week’s ARIA Singles Chart, “Rockstar” holds off Camila Cabello’s fast-rising “Havana” (Epic/Sony), which rises 8-2, a new peak, overtaking Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work From Home’ (No. 3 back in April 2016) as the pop singer’s highest ARIA Singles Chart position. Macklemore’s double-platinum certified “Glorious” (ADA/Warner) featuring Skylar Grey slips 2-3 as the U.S. rapper grabs another top 10 with “Good Old Days” featuring Kesha, which climbs 16-10.

Also this week, Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” (Atlantic/Warner) is on a positive trajectory, flying 18-4 for a new high in its 13th week on the survey while Sam Smith’s comeback single “Too Good At Goodbyes” (Capitol/EMI) is unchanged at No. 5.

Portugal. The Man can be forgiven for enjoying some self-praise right now. The American rock outfit cracks the top 10 for the first time with “Feel It Still” (Atlantic/Warner) which sneaks in at No. 9 on a jump of six spots in its seventh week.

In a slow cycle for new releases, it’s the resident chart king Post Malone who also owns the top new entry as “I Fall Apart” bows at No. 26 while “Congratulations” is down 44-39. Both tracks appear on Post Malone’s debut Stoney which, in its eighth week, rises 17-10 for a new peak.

    USA Billboard 200 Update

NF Scores First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart With 'Perception'
    10/16/2017 by Keith Caulfield

Plus: Lil Pump & Marilyn Manson debut in top 10; Kane Brown bolts 56-5.

Post Malone’s Stoney hits a new chart high -- and the top five for the first time -- after 44 weeks on the list, as the album rises 6-4 with 45,000 units (up 7 percent). The set debuted and initially peaked at No. 6 on Dec. 31, 2016-dated chart and has never left the top 25. The album’s top five ascent comes concurrent with the success non-album cut “Rockstar,” featuring 21 Savage, as well as the surprise viral hit of the Stoney track “I Fall Apart.”

Stoney’s slow rise to the top five is the longest climb to the top five for a continuously charting album in over nine years, since Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black reached the top five in its 49th week. (Back to Black debuted at No. 7 on the March 31, 2007-dated chart, and then lingered in the top 100 until almost a full year later, when it zoomed 24-2 on the March 1, 2008-dated chart after Winehouse won five Grammy Awards at the Feb. 10 ceremony, including best new artist, record of the year and song of the year.)

But i believe the track would be at #1 without the video.

41 million worldwide on youtube isn't that much, when rockstar has more than 100 million reproductions on Spotify only on the USA. Plus another 140 million outside the USA.

    Plus Apple Music.

But yes, billboard needs to make an statement or a regulation about this type of situations. It doesn't deserve to be counted
