Please rank you Favourite 5 music acts from the countries in question.

Only native artists please... (or citizens of the country).

    First Stop: Italia

    Rule:
Every act gets a point: the #1 gets 5 points and the #5 gets 1 point).
The first 3 of each country advance to the battle round.
We are going to clash them like in a Tennis Grand Slam Tournament.
In terms of a tie, the one with the higher votes in general goes through.
You can rank less than 5 if you do not know 5.

This is the "Mad About Music" World Music Slam

stevyy!!!! Why didn't you send me a PM to ask me to take part in this!? - Strangely, I rarely visit "Mad About Music" and I had no clue that you came up with this amazing idea.

I don't care about my votes not being calculated/taken in anymore but:

    #2 Nina Zilli
    #3 Il Volo
    #4 Lacuna Coil
    #5 Michele Bravi

    And now:

    UNITED KINGDOM

    #4 Adele
    #5 Sam Smith

I hope you will do a Russia, Poland, Sweden, Finland edition!

The Italian result is NOW final. Six artists from Italy will be representing their country in the first round of the World Music Slam.

122 empty spots have yet to be filled.

Now it is the United Kingdom's turn.

Every vote counts. The artists with most votes get through, cut off is 5 points. Every artist with at least 5 points is in the next round. The maximum number of entries has now be determined at 8 per country. The best 8 acts.

That sounds awesome and very promising! - Which countries do you consider to take part? - Personally, I like the ones you have already mentioned and like I said, I'd add my suggestions and definitely Turkey since they also have a rich music scene and many artist are known around Europe. - Maybe also Ireland (since it's Ukmix and I am pretty sure this would be interesting and gain you many votes). And like I said, please don't forget Sweden, Poland, Russia, Finland

I also grant you the special exception that Mainshow got and have counted your Italian votes. Eros moves up to second place in the Italian group, while your #1 Laura Pausini also qualifies for the first round.

121 empty spots are left. Eight of which will hopefully be taken by the United Kingdom.

Wow, with 7 votes in, 9 artists gained enough point to advance to the main round of the BIG 128 acts. However, only 8 can make it through. Keep voting to make sure your voice gets heard.

Thank you for this interesting fact.

Personally, I think that the markets in Sweden, Turkey, Russia are powerful as well but they are basically not based on revenue and that's the reason why they wouldn't appear inside the Top 20 even. + The Swedish music scene has shaped pop music massively. I'd even rank it higher than the German one in terms of impact and influence.

But sticking to that list is definitely a logical thought. (Personally, I wouldn't mind taken 20 countries/markets into account since we are all music freaks and I'm all up for #diversity) - Cheers and thanks for hosting it! (I should start listening to some South Korean/Japanese artists because apart from BoA and Perfume, I have no effing clue...)
