Is that truly a surprise though? Scandinavian juries like to award Scandianvia entries, ex-Soviet ones award ex-Soviet entries etc. And funny thing is that televoters do the same. Grece-Cyprus 12 points in the televotes exchanged too. That's the reason why they went back to the combination of jury+televote after they tried a few years with televote only. So even if you remove juries based on neighborly voting, you get the same thing with televotes. That's why I said that the combination of two is for now still the best way to minimize the bias at least a little. If you have any other idea how to solve the problem, do tell.

There was a great comment from a German person (a famous chart specialist) who said that these neighbour votes make sense as they have the same music taste (Greece = Cyprus, Balkan countries, Scandinavia) so it kinda makes sense...

Yes, that is correct for the most part. The only exception to the rule is G/S/A

Not here. We were watching with friends and none of us liked the first semi.

Jury votes should be fair and not predictable, but it does prove time and time again that eurovision is politic and will forever be political.
In the end it doesn't matter though. Netherlands didn't win because of "political" voting. Neither did Israel last year of Portugal the year before.

Something I was gonna ask, Does anyone else hear Elements of Monsters by Saara Alto (FIN2018) in the Norway Song? Especially in the start of the chorus. Found a comparison, this one compares them both to similarities with Alan Walker - Faded

Oh, that neighbors voting. I remember, when one woman in Russian jury gave 12 points to Armenia, just because it's a home country of her husband.
My celebrity crushes : Monika Sedziuviene, Kristina Ivanova (YVA).

Dreamer, you must to visit Lithuania and see/listen a live concert of your YVA strawberries.
