"Trigger Bang" is now on #37 on the UK iTunes charts. Better than exptected tbh, considering what a mess the release was.

^ I've never thought about it not being the lead single tbh. Indeed, it was never officially stated, but to me it has always been obvious that it was the lead single.

Well Sheezus was non-existent, so no wonder this isn't doing big numbers. No big single either.

It wasn't total flop tho, it went Gold and had 3 top 10 singles.

But she totally lost her fanbase with this era, sure release of Trigger Bang was tragic but i don't think song ever cracked top 40 on itunes...

She was never indie enough to sell records without hits, and now she doesn't have hits and this will struggle so hard... Silver seems impossible in UK...

This record is organic, genuine and really authentic. It doesn’t deserve to pass through the charts unnoticed. I really liked the singles from “It’s Not Me, It’s You” but this album is her best, imo.

^ with 5,087 sales so far. I think she'll fall some spots during the week, but a Top10 debut should be safe. Better than nothing, i guess.

I wouldn't count "Somewhere Only We Know" as being a regular Sheezus track. It went #1 due to a lot of other circumstances and was only included as a bonus track. Kind of like American Pie on Music. And Hard Out Here and Air Ballon didn't have any longevity on the charts. If iTunes sales were a big factor today I think even Trigger Bang would chart well for the first week.

IMHO Sheezus only coasted on the huge success of It's Not Me.

Trigger bang barely spend a day or two in top 100 on itunes, not even close to Hard out Here.
HOH was released what, week or two after SOWK? And label only let her release it if she releases that cover... So it never had proper chance

^^^^Trigger Bang did that bad, eh? Damn. But still, she's one of the oldies as far as charts go. Streaming does not benefit her.

    Sales update:
The first glimpse of the new record arrived back in December 2017, with Trigger Bang (feat. Giggs). The song has been streamed 3,225,881 times and has a to date sales tally of 35,291, according to the Official Charts Company.

Allen’s biggest selling single to date is 2009’s The Fear (663,009 sales, OCC), which Mitchell described as “one of the best pop songs of the last 20 years”.

Her cover of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know has sold 845,881 copies.

Allen’s biggest selling album is 2006’s Alright Still (1,141,883 sales). It’s Not Me It’s You, from 2009, has sold 1,069,971 copies. Sheezus, released in 2014, has shifted 112,941 copies.

^ It‘s a shame that her most successful song in the UK will most likely always be her cover of “Somewhere Only We Know”. I think it’s one of my least favourite songs in her discography. Her version of the song is not bad or anything, but her own singles are just miles better.

Yeah it's my least favorite single too.

I don't think it will, it was big Xmas single and gets boost every Xmas now, so it will be associated with Xmas, not her signature song.
