I'm a huge fan of both Janet and Rich but I don't think their energies match well.

I agree, not really sold on the Rich Harrison tracks either.

As for the singles: I’m so sad she didn’t release a video for ‘Island Life’. I imagine a hot video on the beach. People partying in the sand and jumping into the ocean. Kind of like Paulina Rubio’s ‘I’ll Be Right Here (Sexual Lover)’. Oh well..

Lead Single: "All Nite (Don't Stop) " - The Janet's pop type. Awesome beats, oustanding coreography, sexy music video. It's impossible don't dance.

Second Single: "My Baby" (featuring Kanye West) " - In early 2004 this is a perfect song to smash on radio and a beautiful lyric and production with a new, fresh and great Kany West. This song could have been a SMASH on radio.

Third Single: "Spending Time with You" - Particulary I LOOOOVE this song. So beautiful and sexy. This is a sucess' formula sound in Janet discography like "That's The Way love Goes" or "Any Time, Any Place" and would bring the classic Janet's good jam.

Fourth Single: "Just a Little While"- This sound so different of anything she have done in her career. The country style sexy vibes brought a other Janet for the World.

Final Single: "I Want You" - To end the era other good jam and a lovely good bye.

    1st Single: All Nite ( Don't Stop)
    2nd Single: RnB Junkie
    3rd Single: I Want You
4th Single: My Baby (U.S)/JATW or Island Life ( for Europe)
5th Single: Damita Jo (since the song is quite short I would have included a remix version with a rapper).

The first three were perfect and the videos were among her best ever.
    1. "Me Against the Music"
    2. "Toxic"
    3. "Everytime"
    4. "Breathe on Me" - it was a crime that this was not considered as a single
    5. "Shadow" - her most underrated ballad

Outrageous should never have even been considered as a single, i’ve passed it every listen since 2005.

    01. Me Against The Music
Perfect lead single, especially because it features Madonna. The hype was so real back then.

    02. Outrageous
Unpopular opinion, but I never really understood the love for 'Toxic'. It was the one song I used to skip when listening to the album. It has grown on me big time, but still I wouldn't;'t have picked it as a single. 'Outrageous' is far superior. A shame that music video was never finished.

    03. Breathe On Me
Best song not he album, period. This song is pure fire and one of the best songs she's ever released. It's so sensual and soft. A bit dreamy.

    04. Early Mornin'
I recently found out Moby produced this. What a gem of a song. Very different from her other songs, but this would have made a great single (with a great music video).

    05. I Got That (Boom Boom)
A smash. I don't like Ying Yang Twins, but this is a proper bop.

They planned to release Breath on me as fourth single. On the australian Cover was a sticker with the message, that the album includes her upcoming hits everytime and breath on me Then came that catwoman-soundtrack idea and they switch to outrageous.

    1. Toxic (ITZ-sales during christmas-period 2003 would be so much bigger)
    2. MATM (with Madonna)
    3. Everytime
    4. Breath on me
    5. Outrageous (US) and Shadow (Europe)
    Britney 4 EVER.

    1) "Me Against the Music"
    2) "Toxic"
    3) "Everytime"

^ utterly perfect as the first 3 singles.

    4) "(I Got That) Boom Boom" - a huge banger after Every time and a hot Britney video?! Would've smashed!
    5) "Showdown" - a good final single! I've always found this underrated on the ITZ album!

The first 3 singles were perfect and coherent choices.

I would have replaced "Outrageous" tho and I would have picked one extra 5th single:

    1. Me against the music
    2. Toxic
    3. Everytime
    4. Breathe on me
    5. Showdown
Britney Spears . Michael Jackson . Madonna . Metallica . Radiohead . Led Zeppelin . Oasis . Beyoncé . Soda Stereo

    1. Toxic
    2. Remix of Toxic
    3. Toxic with a feature
    4. Acapella version of Toxic

Let’s be real, it was the song that saved the whole album.

^ As much as I love the track, I can't imagine radio playing 'Touch Of My Hand', especially not back then.

First single - Toxic. Obvious choice and the right choice lol

Second single - I got that boom boom. Such a strong song

Third single - Outrageous. The beat is amazing. I reckon it would have done so so well.

Fourth single - Everytime. Classic Britney

Sixth single - Showdown. Personally one of my fav Britney songs ever.
